Sturdy red dot, the glass is clear and the red dot is bright with good adjustments.It has shake awake and a solar back up which were important features for me. So far very pleased with the quality. It comes with all the screws you will need to attach it

So far I love the sight and it seems to be a great RDS which I wanted for hunting season for hogs and for under 350$ it’s a good deal. I went to my local gunsmith and looked at their stuff and asked for suggestions and this is what I ended up buying and it seems to hold zero pretty well. It took 2 adjustments to get it in the center of the paper and holding a decent group. It is as wide as my pistol so it looks as it should on my 10mm. The glass is super clear on it and even with astigmatism I found it easy to acquisition to the RDS because on my S&W M&P 2.0 I can co-witness the iron sights for 2 different ranges. I love the auto brightness but that’s just me, I seen some complain about it but I actually found it to be the right brightness for me like that vs always hunting for the “right” brightness for the ambient light. I actually used it inside and outside my home and it works well in artificial light for me but better in real sunlight of course. All in all I would buy from the seller that I did and found the sight to be in new condition even though the box was not sealed in plastic. Also the screws were in the same type of bag that the one guy is complaining about and saying it’s not factory when it obviously is (at some point the changed the bags they use). 5/5 stars for sure! Won’t be my last Holosun!

Works just as it should. The only issue is that the battery was dead on arrival but that was a simple fix. Fit is good. I like that you can select from 3 red dots.

This is my first and my last holosun red dot It Worked for about 500 rounds, zeroed and stayed zeroed but the RMR plate on the Sig p320 would get loose and the sight got loose so I had to remove everything the plate and the red dot, clean it and reinstall it . Then when I went to preliminary adjust the dot to my iron sights, the screws don't move the dot anymore or barely moved it no matter how much I turn the screws and then not at all. I called and they said to return it, so it's garbage and I'm not buying anymore holosuns anymore , because like this tells me that the next one might work for 500 rounds get loose and then when I address that issue and remount the next one it won't work. The most glaring law with this product is that the "Auto Mode" automatic brightness adjustment is a dim joke. It's way too dim in every light condition, & it's not easily overridden. So you wind up keeping it in manual mode and trying to remember to check it all the time to make sure the brightnesses is appropriate for the light condition you're going into, which is never ever the case. And I suspect this is true of most of them. When you're in side and you point toward up a window or a brighter light source, the dot washes out. Honestly, I don't know if it's worth the obscuring of my front night sight post in a co-witness configuration. CrimsonTrace's CT Rad Pro's auto mode is superior, only is too dim in the dead of night. Unfortunately, compared to way more expensive Holosuns: Crimson Trace dots use the Docter footprint, which is not compatible with my new Sig P320 M17. Holosuns are RMR, requiring an adapter plate to mount on the P320. Also unfortunately, the direct fit Sig optics products are a no go because they don't have auto mode, which I found to be a critically necessary feature way back when I bought the CT Rad and had to switch to the more expensive pro with the auto ambient adjustment. To their credit, CR upgraded me for free. plus it's not yet clear that the Sig optic that fits my p320 m17 is compatible with any iron night sights. Bottom line: At first I thought the Crimson Trace CT Rad/RadPro is better than the Holosun dot sights for one very critical reason: the Rad/Rad Pro screens are clearer, not tinted, making the view of the co-witness iron sights noticiably clearer & brighter. But then the next day not so much. And also, I think the programming & use of the Holosun is superior A word to the wise: anybody that runs just a red dot on their pistol without suppressor height iron sights, advisably night sights, isn't trained properly. To be combat effective in all situations, it's not which sights to have on your weapon it's having all of them. Have all of them. But if only one is preferred then one should choose iron night sights, which even if slower & slightly less accurate at further distance, work in every environmental situation. (Lots of training can mitigate most of. the speed issue but not the accuracy difference, which is why I have both) The addition of a green laser (minimum, or a flashlight+gree laser combo) is the best cuz it allows the fastest accurate (if trained well) heads up shooting. But a green laser (calling a green laser a daylight laser is deceptive) is not effective in all light situations. The red dot (not a red laser) is effective in all light...until it's not. In other words until it fails for many reasons, programming glitching out, battery runs down etc. or with the Rad Pro on auto, for instance, at night it adjusts down until it's too dim to see! That's why you have suppressor height night sights as well. Holosun might say, I don't know, probably that theirs have better coatings. My counter argument is that they're not better if they obscure vision; Holosuns do and I suspect looking at other expensive brands, their coatings obscure vision more than the Rad Pro as well. I think probably the rounded housing of the Holosun is better. I know that there's a ding on the left corner of my square cornered Rad Pro and the screen is cracked in that corner. Plus the glass in the top corners is not typically used. At least I don't visually find something lacking with the Holosun and it's round top I had to switch to manual brightness adjustment on the Holosun because I took it out and it's way too dim to use in and overcast condition. with the Rad Pro, I believe that the the if I adjust it manually then it's out of ambient adjustment mode & to put it back in, auto, I have to hold down both buttons for several seconds. But then the adjustment is too dim so I don't run it in auto ambient light mode. Regarding the reticle, those circles are just stupid marketing gimmicks. In fact, this Holosun came on the brightest setting. I'm looking at a giant red blotch t dominating most of screen! Then when I turn it down, it's a circular reticle, tight around the dot, so tight that in any setting, you know, it's a light, so you can't see anything near this reticle or inside of it including the target! In other words, the circle is a useless, obstructive marketing gimmick, as is the entire concept of the Vulcan ACSS chevron and circle model that Holosun never describes as a chevron (but refers to several times in the description as a dot). FYI: The first of the last 2 Crimson Trace sight products I bought bad from the factory which wouldn't keep zero. And the third sight product if I count the Streamlight laser light before these that didn't keep zero. My first Holosun product that I mounted and tested, this one, zeroed and kept zero from the start. Crimson Trace replaced it of course (Streamlight took theirs back and refunded) because they're good that way and I've had the replacement for years and it still keeps zero.
