While the L80s don't have the same sound quality as my "regular" Zildjians, they do provide the lower volume I needed while still providing a fairly realistic (and more pleasurable) approach to practicing. The L80s combined with mesh heads, I have a way practice with very low volume on my acoustic kit with sound quality more realistic and easier to listen to than mutes on cymbals and drums.
