Stayed dry, no bugs. Amazing tent.
I had to replace small size with a Large size for my Honda Pilot. I set it up at home in 2 mins. Got to the beach- this tent held up through HUGE DAILY RAINSTORMS, windstorms! Kept all bugs out, no mosquitos in at all. The screen is perfect. The awning is perfect. The strappy connectors may need reinforced at some point, but not falling apart after a week of use. In our camp, most the tents packed up and left when the rain came- we stayed with the RVs and this little tent kept up completely dry. Really is a luxury to be off the ground in huge rainstorms. The entire concept of this little tent is great for my tiny family right now. We sleep an adult and 7 & 8 yr old just fine in this space. I did however coat it with water resistant spray before we left, but being that we are covered in suv, not sure how much diff that made. Lastly, it is super easy to pop off when you need to drive somewhere-I left the awnings tied down, chalked my tire spot so I knew where to park when I returned, and easily popped it back on upon return to camp. Literally takes 1 to 2 mins to pop this on/off. It may look a little saggy from the outside, but from the inside the view looks great with a really great fit.

Initially impressions..
My initial impressions are pretty good for the price and being realistic, you shouldn't expect excellence in this price range anyway. However, I do expect it to be at least as advertised. Which so far, it basically is. The Large size fits my Jeep Grand Cherokee well. There are a few gaps around the back windows once sinched down that I mostly have covered with some extra magnets I purchased (see pics). The 6 magnets included with the tent are not enough for my vehicle. Your milage may very depending on the shape of your tailgate. You can never have to many so I strongly encourage picking up an extra set. You will also see in my pics that I used two budgie cords running from the two attachment points on top to my roof basket. This helps keep the slack out of the top portion and tight to the vehicle. I also put magnets across the top. Less gaps = less bugs. Pros: Compact and lightweight, Easy one person setup, Adds roughly 14 inches of extra legnth inside my Jeep. Maximizes ventilation, beats the heck out of sleeping on the cold ground. Cons: Low quality plastic hooks for wheels. Get some quality rubberized ones so they don't snap or scratch your wheels. Needs waterproofing spray because none of the seams are tapes. No awning poles included, The main zipper is difficult to get to once closes down at the center of the bumper. All in all this is a decent, affordable tailgate tent. With some very inexpensive mods like more magnets, waterproofing spray and better hooks to attach the wheels straps, you have a very usable sub $100 setup.

Works with Kia Sportage
Works great with our kia shortage. Used last fall and again this year. I like the air flow that this provides. It does seem to have gaps around the sides, and the magnets did not work at all. I'm wondering if that gap will be an issue allowing bugs getting into the cabin in the future? This is a great inexpensive way to get into car camping. Easy set up and take down.

Love this for ease of use.
This fit my 2015 Outback really well. Easy set up and breaks down. Seems well made and withstood a pretty good wind storm that kicked up. Folds up small and assembled really easy, especially when you use magnets to help hold in place. I would buy again!

Easy to install
Pleasantly surprised by this hatchback tent! It works well on my 2020 Subaru Crosstrek. Easy for this 5'5" Gen X woman to put on and remove. I've just started solo car camping and this gives a nice little bit of extra room. I've used it twice so far and it seems well made and good quality material. If I spent more time folding it would probably fit in the bag easier.

Serious quality issues but love it anyway
I love this thing, dammit. It fit my 2018 Rav4 pretty well; a little tight in some places and a little baggy in others, but nothing problematic. It made camping and sleeping in that car so much better! (A few window and sunroof screens made a big difference too) The problem is the quality of the materials. The fabric and mesh are fine and well enough constructed, but the elastic straps that secure to the tires and under the rear of the car are frayed and worn after one 6 day trip. We put it up and left it up for the entire time, there were some pretty high winds in the afternoons (+/- 25 mph) so I can see there would be friction, but the elastic is thin and pretty weak like maybe not strong enough to hold up your yoga pants. Many other elastics or webbings would be far more abrasion resistant, so I'll likely change them all out eventually if the thing holds up that long. The stakes are garbage except maybe for kebab skewers. The zipper around the mesh opening is cheap and already feels like it won't last. Oh, and the little magnets to close any gaps around the opening against the car? Great idea, crap execution. They are fridge magnets at best and only for thin paper. (Get these ; https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08NT2F7M3/ref=ox_sc_saved_image_2?smid=A1R61Y8J01DK0A&th=1 little niobium ones. They are perfect and held up in the aforementioned baggy spots and wind.) For the record this tent and the other two like it on Amazon are perfect for the purpose and I would pay more for a better execution of a similar design but I haven't seen that anywhere on the web yet. I haven't tested it in wet conditions, but fingers crossed.

This is so well worth the money. Had a family camping night and slept like a log. Was so cosy in the back of my car and everyone thought it was such a cool thing to buy. Definitely recommend. I have a BMW x3 and fits perfectly Incase you have similar but to be honest I think it would fit majority of cars even a Mini would be great for camping.

Volle 5 Sterne!

I like to car camp and this promised to open up the space in my Prius. And that it does. Make Youtube your friend as it does not come with instructions but it's not too hard to figure out how to put it up. If you want a good seal, get 4 or 5 small rare earth magnets as the ones that come with the package are pretty weak, although you can probably get away with not using any. When packed away, it doesn't take up much room and I was able to "stuff" everything back in the storage bag quite easily. The mesh is good and allows for good airflow while keeping out the mozzies. I bought the "Small" and it's a good fit on the Prius. For the money, not a bad buy and if you have a hatchback, it definitely a good upgrade to the car.

HELLA PERFECT! I got this to enjoy some car camping and have brought it EVERYWHERE. It’s wildly easy to install BUT get better magnets as the ones supplied are kinda ..meh. Withstood heavy rain with no trouble. Fits my Kia soul well, no bugs get in at all:)
