Simplicity. Value. Great coffee!
This system is so simple and it produces an excellent cup of coffee. The filter is completely made of metal, no plastic. All you get is the pure coffee flavor. I ground up some fresh beans, put them directly in the metal cone filter, and poured a little hot, not boiling water on the grounds to bloom the coffee. I waited about 15 seconds and began adding water slowly. Once I added my 2 cups of hot water I waited a minute to let as much water go through as possible and then set the filter aside. I poured my coffee into a cup after swirling the brew. I drank it black because I wanted to really taste the coffee since I'm new to this pour over system. Outstanding flavor! Bold, but smooth. Just delicious. I was careful to drink the last sips of coffee slowly so that I wouldn't get coffee sediment in my mouth. That's important for the best experience. I knocked it down to 4 stars in the cleaning category because it is glass and it gets slippery during cleaning. I need to take extra care. This pour over system is amazing. The stainless filter is well machined and smooth. The holes are small enough to hold back all but the finest coffee particles. This product is an excellent value!

Easiest, best cup of a coffee on a budget!
I picked this up on a whim, having never tried pour over coffee. After my first cup, I was hooked! Literally having used my old faithful Mr. Coffee a single time since receiving this! It's too dang easy and delicious. Prep? A breeze. Clean up? Stupid simple. Taste? Remarkable. I haven't jumped on the electric kettle game yet, but I still have an old whistling tea kettle that boils water with the best of them. I simple boil my water, grind some beans (I like 1 scoop per 5 oz filtered water) while the water comes to a boil, and then pour it over nice and slow. No need to use a paper filter unless you just really want to. Clean up with mesh filter consists of knocking it upside down on trash can once, then quick rinse under hot water. I went with the 1 liter size and it makes enough for me and my wife to have a cup and a half each. If you havent tried this before, do it....now. Great Pour Over Maker..
I know that this is probably one of the trendiest ways to make coffee nowadays. But truth be told, when I was a little girl my father had a very similar coffee maker. that he would set up first thing in the morning and after dinner. I loved the ritual of watching him make coffee the pour over way. When April came and I was looking for birthday gift ideas, I wanted something that I would get use out of, and that was not very expensive . So I thought about my coffee habit. I do not drink a lot of coffee, but I love coffee . From my keurig, French press, regular drip maker, etc. I thought this would be a good addition to my coffee family. There is a much pricier, well-known brand, very similar in look, and style, to this one. Until I knew what I wanted I was not willing to invest, just yet. I chose this one because of the price, and the look, and the reviews. Now that I have had it for a few months, I don’t see any reason to get anything else. It’s easy to clean, for me. One thing to keep in mind, is to rinse it immediately after you're done using it. I like that the cork is 100% removable to make cleaning a breeze A little bit of hot water, white vinegar, and a soft brush , and it’s as good as new. This item comes with a measuring spoon, and a reusable filter, which I appreciated. I tried the paper filters that came with this package -just to see if there was a difference in taste/quality, and quite honestly my guests and I did not notice a difference, to justify using only paper filters. But then again, I am a newbie to this game, So, I might be missing some slight nuances of flavor, or coloring, or what have you. Overall, this pour over maker is a thorough complete package. If you are on the fence about switching over to the “pour over life“ , looking for a pour over maker of your very own, a gift, etc., I don’t see how you could go wrong with this specific item.

Hit or Miss Filter, but Great, Vintage Coffee Maker
I recently had an existential crisis about the plastics in my kitchen and decided to get a coffee maker either made of metal or glass. Metal ones (plastic shells with metal innards that touch the coffee and water) were way out of my budget, so I ended up getting this instead. If you're familiar with using "coffee socks" (fabric coffee filters you use with two pots and boiling water to make coffee over the stove), this glass coffee maker is basically that, minus 1 pot, and freeing up the hand you'd normally use to hold the "sock" type filter in place. My first test run was just plain water and the filter this came with (plastic with a metal mesh). It went alright, but I found I had more luck with using a plain paper coffee filter instead of the one included with the glass. I think the mesh is just a bit too fine and I always had water left over in the filter. Lifting the filter up every so often helped, but I find paper filters work better and ended up saving me time (using a cloth filter or "coffee sock" filter might also work better than the mesh one). My second test run was actually brewing coffee by boiling water on the stove, loading some paper filters with coffee grounds in the coffee maker and and letting gravity do the rest. It went pretty well, even if I did have to boil two pots of water to get a full pot. It's also nice knowing that the coffee maker is glass, so I'm not getting any sort of heated plastic residue in my drink. It's also silent so I don't have to give up part of my work-from-home routine on account of a noisy electric coffee maker. Overall, this is a very old-fashioned way of making coffee, but if you're trying to get rid of the plastics in your kitchen, want something more eco-friendly, or if you're looking for something quiet and have a lot of patience - I'd say switching to a glass coffee maker is a great choice. It's also super light weight, and as long as you're gentle with it and make sure it doesn't break or fracture, it'll definitely last you a while and work for any sort of situation. To clean it out, I just but some soap and warm water in it, swirl it around and continue to rinse it out until the soap's all gone - but I'll be sure to invest in a dedicated sponge for this in the future.

Great, Easy pour over
I have the 34 ounce cork one, and am pretty impressed with it. The looks are obviously familiar to any chemex fan, though this one makes up to a litre of coffee. The metal filter works well, I might try experimenting with a paper one as well, i believe a large v60 filter would fit. The coffee it makes using the metal filter is great, very little sediment with a medium coarse grind. Extraction time seems a bit quick, but maybe thats more my method than anything else. The cork is very attractive, and its a breeze to clean. Im a fan all around. Its not my daily coffee maker, but when im looking to make large quantities, this is an excellent method for that. Cheap, easy to use and makes fantastic product.

Clean and simple!
I started to wonder just how clean the inside of my coffee machine was, even after cleaning. You can't see the inside after all. Why wouldn't mold built up? So, I tried this little beauty from Portugal! Clean glass, clean water, everything visible and pure. Coffee tasted the same. I'm not saying I will never go back to using coffee machines, but this is a pleasant change. I left one star off because although it's not hard to pour, a handle would have been nice. The cork covering comes off easily and is just so charming! Love this little coffee maker!

Our favorite pour over coffee maker!
This is our third one... because over the course of the last several years, cLuTzy me broke the other two. I'm MUCH more careful now, haha. ANYWAY, yes: my review. This is the first time we've tried the cork grip, and it's not only aesthetically pleasing, it's also functional. We use natural brown coffee filters to make our coffee, and this size of maker is perfect to fill up two coffee mugs, with a little bit left over for a small cup. Highly recommend this product if you're like us with the patience to actually make your coffee by hand every morning. There is a MARKED difference in flavor and quality when you make your coffee in a pour over coffee maker. If you're new to it... you'll never go back to a "mister coffee" or even a 'keurig" style maker, unless of course you're pressed for time in the mornings. PRO TIP: For cold mornings, like in the winter, it's best to temper the glass before pouring your 190-205 degree water in it. Cleaning: Easy! just put a little dish soap in it, scrub 'er out and and air dry. All ready for the next morning.

Makes a great cup of coffee. I can't think of any reason to pay more for Chemex.
Because of the quarantine. I finally decided to bite the bullet and get the right gear to make a better cup of coffee. I already had a burr grinder and good beans, I just needed this thing and a scale. I thought about getting the Chemex version, but the price was so much higher I thought it would be worth giving this pot from Bodum a try first. It's perfect. After a bit of experimenting, I found that a ratio of 18 grams of water to every 1 gram of coffee made a cup I really like, and it's so easy. I boil water on the stove, turn the burner off and let the temperature drop for 2-3 minutes, then pour the water over the coffee. After I fill my cup, I pour the rest into a thermal carafe to keep it hot. This is all worthwhile and really doesn't take much time. The coffee is substantially better. Try it... It's certainly worth the price of admission!
