Love barley great product

The grain was packaged well and seems very clean. We flake the grain to add to our breakfast cereal and I use the flakes in cookie and bread recipes. We like the texture and taste and the aroma of fresh flakes barley is unbeatable!

Great product. 25 pounds is a lot. Good protein source.

This was our second big bag purchase. We divide it into quart freezer bags and soak and cook a batch every week or two. Stays fresh pretty easily. We use large sealable tubs and/or a FoodSaver machine for longer term storage. Rice by itself is nice but the addition of barley adds a punch visually, texturally, for mouth feel and nutrition-wise. Price has gone up $10 a bag since pre-Covid but this barley is wonderful and worth it.

We cook this to mix with our morning oatmeal. It is fabulous!

I eat barley every day after cooking one cup of this whole grain in my InstaPot. Barley helps lower my cholesterol. The price, unfortunately, continues to rise each year that I buy it. This is quality barley & it comes in a sturdy bag. I pour the 25 lb bag into a large Rubbermaid plastic box which seals securely. Will buy again.

Thought I would be getting hulled barely - this could more accurately be called cracked barley with many fragments in the mix - not nearly the quality that I can get at my local health food co-op. When cooked, all the fragments mean you get barley mush with a few larger bits. If you are just looking to make porridge it might be acceptable, otherwise avoid.
