I always buy Schmetz sewing machine needles. They are high quality, sturdy, and work very well.

Nice Needles
I have used these needles before - I am making purses similar to Vera Bradley ones - the quilted ones and I find these needles are great for the double-sided quilted material. I have to go through up to 4 layers of that at a time in some areas of the purse and they handle it great. The only reason I needed these was because I was having a dumb moment and did not change the presser foot when I was zig-zagging the end of the zipper (I left the zipper foot on and the stitch width was too wide so I broke 4 needles out of my own stupidity). If used correctly, these needles are great. Happy sewing everyone!

Strong and don't bend and break on the first run.
I only buy German needles. These are top quality, they take a beating before they bend or break. They are sharp and don't make huge holes in the fabric. This is a great way to get sharp German needles without running all over town looking for a specific item. After all....time is money.

Typical Schmetz needles, no issues there. I will note that two orders of these came in a normal legal envelope, that looks nothing like a normal Amazon delivery, and zero tracking information is provided. I did eventually find both orders, but understand what you will be looking for, when you order small quantities from this seller.
