This is not for the beginner in loom knitting. I got my first looms in November and started making hats. I made adult hats and kid hats and found a few patterns and started following them. They were fast and easy and before long I was able to make a small poncho shawl. I got a sock loom and found it to be infinitely more difficult but I was determined and found the right hook for the sock loom and successfully made a sock. That's when I bought the Authentic Knitting Board Afghan Loom. It has 198 pegs and they are close together. I am currently making the same poncho shawl that I've made on the round 41 peg loom and had to increase my stitches to 70 to get the same length. I like that I can get tighter stitches. It's hard though, working on the pegs in the interior parts of the figure 8. I have to hold the loom in odd positions to knit and perl. Luckily, I have worked on an adjustable sock loom so I have developed techniques for knitting in tight spaces. If you have experience with other looms and have worked a few patterns, you might be ready for this one. As for construction, it is well made and there are no sharp edges. The pegs are molded into the plastic so there's no adjusting what you have.

Very sturdy, already halfway through making my blanket!

When I first got this and started using it, it was a little awkward. Once I kept going I really got the hang of it and I’m really enjoying making large blankets with it. It is very sturdy and while a peg has not come off they do include some spares if need be. I’m really happy with the gauge on this particular one as well. Some seem to be too spread out and I think that limits you to a type of yarn thickness. I do want to recommend not starting with this if you are new to loom knitting. I used round looms first to get the hang of it and I still messed up on my first try with this. I also like the compactness of the design so you don’t have a giant loom to store with your work on or even work with. I highly recommended but just have patience on your first try.

Bought my loom a couple months ago although finally having my first chance to use it - about tge 5th row in a peg snapped completely off - I am not new to using these knitting looms and my tension is loose so I know this must have been a defective peg. My thought just trying to knit on this is very quirky having to constantly change directions to knit and finding this part annoying. As far as the broken peg - I removed what was started, then looked on Google as to how to fix. I took all screws out and proceeded to try and get the rest of the peg out without breaking anything else. So half hour later the hoke is open, now to but more pegs from KB bc they don't supply extra pegs for this situation......I also find the plastic they use to be very brittle compared to other looms and the loom as a whole a bit flimsy.. I had been considering buying Cindiwood loom however, I decided to buy the KB bc it was cheaper????? Well my thoughts are that I should've spent the money on the Cindiwood loom - It's just a large and well made circle loom that does the same as this does....I will fix this one and pass it on - eyes are on the Cindiwood loom now........

This makes beautiful blankets and is easy to use. I’ve made at least 20 projects on this and every time it’s been a breeze to work on. The s shape is way easier than the long flat boards

Ottimo prodotto.. Subito un po' difficile da maneggiare xké per quanto piccolo possa essere è un po' laborioso da usare, ma una volta imparato il modo va benissimo.. Anche il materiale è buono secondo me.. Lo consiglio..
