Meta Quest 2 Elite Strap With Battery

I bought this to extend the life of my quest 2. Replacing the original strap is really easy and this elite strap with battery just clips back in it's place. It's able to tighten enough to fit my 7 year old for the occasional go. It's adjustable on top to alter the height of the goggles and tightens on the back to make it more secure and stop any wobble. It is a little heavier that the standard strap but that's to be expected. The battery provides several more hours of use on a single charge. The battery plugs into the quest itself and provides pass though charging so you can charge the headset and elite battery at the same time with one cable. I found this strap still fits in my original quest 2 case without issue. I've read reviews of non official batteries and am glad I went with the official one. A great buy and I'm very happy with it.

I bought this more for the comfort of the strap rather than the battery (though the longer battery life makes a huge difference too). I have only had my Quest 2 a month or two but in that time I struggled to play for more than half an hour because of the throbbing headaches I'd get from having the headset strapped tightly to my face. With this elite strap, that issue has now gone. With the support at the back which moulds around your head and the dial to tighten or loosen the strap you can now easily have it sat snuggly around your head without being too tight, and no more headaches! I would say that this should really be part of the base headset. It's much sturdier than just the strap and the weight of it counterbalances the weight of the headset so it feels much less like it's pulling down on the front of your face. It's a little pricey for what it is but it does make a huge difference.

I really like the elite strap. Its more comfortable than the included strap and the battery is great as it doubles your use time. Doesn't mean it doesn't have it's down sides. Cons: - cannot comfortably lie down - the bulk added by the plastic band adjust and battery makes the headset unusable if you want to lie down. You have to switch back to the stock head strap. - lose ability to use USB accessories while the external battery is in use - since theres no pass through with the battery (you can charge and play with a port on the back of the battery pack) in terms of USB Data, you cannot use headphones which require a dongle (3.5mm still available next to the USB-C port) such as the Logitech Pro X wireless, a headset which is ,ironically, recommended for use with the quest 2.

You need this product to make your Quest 2 experience whole. It balances the weight of the headset, the strap is more comfortable, versatile and easily adjustable than the standard one, and the battery means you just don't have to worry about running out of power. I love it! My only criticism is that it probably should have come with the headset as standard.

This strap is essential for anyone who uses a Quest 2. The battery doubles the time you can use the headset before it needs charging again. It is also much more comfortable and easier to adjust than the stock cloth strap. Time will tell as to how durable it is, but as of now it is highly recommended, if a little bit pricey.
