IMO better than Corsair RGB XT
I used a Corsair RGB wireless XT gaming headset with the "broadcaster quality mic" for more than a year. I finally pitched them due to the problems I had with the quality of the sound, and even replaced the mic due to the mute button (on the mic piece) wearing out after a number of uses. It was just a high maintenance device with very short range issues as well as the iCUE app constantly crashing and losing my settings. The Corsair also had music listening issues where a deep drum or bass note would cause the master volume to compensate and was quite unnatural. I assume the volume would pulsate due to some kind of overload protection algorithm that I was unable to simply disable. It was quite annoying. Knew about the JBL reputation with stereo systems, and high quality HiFi systems in the passed, and decided to give them a try. They were also cheaper than the Corsair XT I had. Installed the driver program, turned on the "DTS" mode with the JBL Quantum surround mode and the sound BLEW ME AWAY! I NEVER had this kind of sound quality with the Corsair when listening to music. The bass is plentiful, and the equalizer works great all around. That's a positive. A negative I have is related to things like the "surround sound" mode. I don't get a true sound that makes me think there are things behind me, or directional like you get in a movie theater. Could be I really don't have a proper source to prove it out, but the windows positioning test isn't surrounding me like expected. When I'm gaming, I sometimes have a wide variety of sound sources that I mix into my headset. I have three separate PC's that sound outputs/inputs are "daisy chained" to allow me to monitor all the pc's outputs within my single headset. It allows me to do things like watch TV, game, monitor chat apps, listen to the radio, and a few other esoteric functions related to other hobbies all at the same time. So, I'm generally dealing with up to 5 separate PC monitors, and all the audio feeds from what ever I may have going on. The JBL seems to deal with them just fine without losing music quality, the gaming output, and others, simultaneously. Definitely a positive. I use the 2GHz dongle on a USB port, and even though we have a house full of wifi and wireless devices, the range is CONSIDERABLY farther than the corsair RGB XT. The corsair also would "cut out" when someone would use the microwave in the kitchen (which is attached to the room I'm in). Interestingly, the JBL headset does NOT cut out with microwave use, which again, is another positive here. I've seen folks complain that they don't get enough volume out of this headset, but that is not my experience. I'm retired with "older ears", and the volume is more than I would ever safely use. So, definitely a positive. The "noise canceling" is pretty good. Its not "get on an airplane and not hear white noise" good, but for gaming and listening to music, its quite good. The headset does claim to have ANC (Active Noise Canceling). Anyway, for the price, its better, IMO, than the high end corsair headset, yet less expensive. In my opinion JBL has a very high quality product that is very forgiving of an RF crowded environment, and a longer battery life. Just turn off the pretty flashy RGB lighting on the headset, and you'll get a ton of battery time. Specs claim you get 43 hours of battery time between charges. That's considerably better than the high end corsair.

Great headset option
Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. JBL is a brand that I generally trust when it comes to audio. The noise canceling function is okay. It isn't the best that I've used, nor is it the worst. Gave that aspect 3 stars because it is middle-of-the-road. The sound quality is good and the ear pieces are comfortable, though they don't breathe very well. I primarily use these for meetings on Microsoft Teams. I find myself moving them off one ear if I'm 3 hours into back-to-back meetings. I believe the auto-shutoff is around 4 hours, as I've had them turn off mid-meeting before. I really like the dual mute option. There is a button, or you can flip up the microphone. The microphone could use a little more resistance in movement. I sneezed once and the mic fell back down to the "on" position. No one heard the sneeze, so not a big deal. I was just surprised that it didn't stay up. All-in-all, the mic stays where you put it (unless you have a violent sneeze). My biggest complaint might be more with Teams than the headset, but I'm not sure. The headset has to be powered on BEFORE I join a meeting. If they aren't on and connected prior to joining, no one can hear me. I have to switch to the computer mic and then back to the headset. A minor inconvenience. My last headset could be switched on while connecting to the meeting and it worked every time. The noise canceling mic works amazingly. By comparison, my last headset seemed to pic up ambient noise and amplify it. They were great if the room was quiet, but anyone else talking sounded like they were in the conversation. These do what they say! Ambient noise does not seem to be picked up. I've had kids playing and or talking loudly in the same room and people on calls do not hear them. To reiterate, that's kind of amazing! Battery life is adequate. I get about 2 days use on a charge. That's pretty good considering. On that note, I read that the cheaper JBL headset could not be used while charging. That's just dumb. These advertised that you can charge and use at the same time. A surprise feature that I LOVE is the dual audio source. I connected them to my phone via Bluetooth to test them out before connecting to my work computer via the wireless USB dongle. While on a meeting (and still connected to my phone) I heard my text notification from my phone while still on the call at work! You can even listen to music while people are going on about boring work stuff and never miss a beat (get it?)! I have not installed the software that is loaded on the USB dongle, so I don't know what customizations can be made. Another thing that I'm still figuring out is the various audio level adjusters. I believe one is for mic and the other for incoming audio. Sometimes someone on a call will sound faint and I just roll one or the other until I get them to the proper volume. It's a nice feature, but I haven't fully figured out which adjuster controls which audio level. It's really good if you have someone who talks too loud... you can turn them down on the fly. In summary, they are great headsets! There are a few quirks, but those are easy to work around. The pros far outweigh any cons.

Like.. WOW!!!
HAHAHA I am totally tickled beyond pink into PURPLE!!!! I've been singing since age 4 in the church choir, making music since sixth grade... aaaaand I'm a dancer too boot!.. I'm in my 50's now.. Near perfect pitch and all.. I can hear down to 1/16th semitone difference in pitch and up to at least 26K.. Excellent headset with lots of nice features.. The fidelity is JAWESOME! I'm still charging it and am already in LURVE! JBL has alwaaaaays been good. Will most likely have more later.. I've tested the surround. it definitely works. Most EQs on headsets don't even work.. You can actually hear this one change.. Amazing.. I would prefer a 16 or 32 or even a 128 band eq.. to be quite honest (At least an option in the settings).. just 8 bands is seriously lacking for the true audiophile and musician... While they aren't quite true over the ear headphone and slightly touch part of the auricle of mine, they are indeed comfortable.. You will really have to stretch them well if your head is larger than the default size and there is only a narrow part of the band which may be stretched, but it will flex all the way back just fine.. The amplification is fine.. I'm pleased.. I don't have to max it out like I did with my Nari.. I also like the fact it has an genuine physical on off switch instead of just a button. it's faster and easier to actuate and to find. If the headset goes into standby simply pull the power switch back towards you and it will wake. one side has a springy section. I also just discovered I can connect this to my PC and the phone at the same time without it just switching. My phone simply rings through.. Use the PC on wireless and the phone on BT.. Simply amazing work and just what I needed. I've really wanted to get rid of wearing 2 headsets while I am at home. To reconnect BT after power off simply depress the Bluetooth button once while on and it will initiate a connect and then notify you through a tone. Testing the surround with Ready Player One and it is excellent.. The section of the movie where they do The Shining was a real test. when that baseball rolled on the floor I could hear every position perfectly. I definitely recommend this headset. TG it has been on sale.. really needed to replace my current one. On another note. I can kind of se why they haven't said anything about range... The wi-fi range of this headset is crazy.. totally huge. I can walk around 100' away and only then lose connection.. Just what I wanted and needed. My last one could not even reach the kitchen and barely made it to another room. I cannot attest at this time to the BT range, but suspect it is similar.. So very Kewl.. Excellent headset.

Great Sound with Minor Inconveniences
I've liked this headset a lot since I've owned them - I would even say I loved it at first. However, after extended use I've noticed some of its flaws. Starting with the pros, this headset is so comfortable. I always prefer over-ear headphones or headsets for comfort and these just melt away when you put them on to where you may even forget you're wearing them. They're lightweight for a headset of their size and can be adjusted in size, too. The sound quality is fantastic. I love my JBL Charge 3 for its strong low pass and this headset is no different. Any input of media sounds quality through these: Games, YouTube, Netflix, etc. The USB wireless connector is a blessing for keeping a stable connection but you can use them for wireless Bluetooth as well. Now for the cons. The microphone stopped working within a few months. I understand that it isn't the priority on a headset like this but after what I would consider light-moderate usage it failed on me. First it just produced a loud static whenever I would try to talk into it before just stopping outright. This isn't a big deal for me since I mainly use my primary microphone, but it would've been nice to keep chatting with my friends when I get up to make dinner, for example. A much bigger issue for me personally is the auto turn off function. I'm not sure why, but after what I would say was 6 months of owning these, they just started turning off randomly. After some research, I found out this is to save battery in case you leave the headset running on accident, which is a great feature! However, as I said about 6 months into owning these it started doing this in the middle of me using them. Whether it be playing a game or talking in a call, they would just turn off in the middle of audio input. I'm no tech wiz, so I couldn't fully diagnose the issue, but my guess is that some kind of audio sensor broke in my headset. Research online was of no help so as of today it's still an issue. Overall, the headset is still quality and works for what it does, but with my issues I've had with it overtime I can't recommend it with 5 stars. It's worth noting I purchased this when it was 50% off ($100). I don't know if I would recommend it very highly at full price but if you get the same discount I had it's a pretty great deal.

One Value Headset to Rule Them All
This headset has the greatest sound of any headset I've ever owned. I've tried Razer, Astro, Audio Technica, and more. First off you ABSOLUTELY want to change the equalizer settings. This will DRASTICALLY improve the audio quality. I use the settings +5dB - +2dB - +2dB - +4dB - +5dB - +1dB - +2dB - +5dB - +9dB - +10dB. You can apply and combine these settings to the equalizer options as well to your liking such as Bass Boost. My favorite is Cinematic. The Spital Sound options are the one major feature of the headphones that make them next level. The Spital Sound options give you the choice of DTS or Quantum Spatial. I personally prefer the Quantum Spatial with the Room Size settings to Large. This adds an effect that makes me feel like I am getting a concert quality sound. You really feel like you are hearing a live version of what you are hearing. If you prefer a more closed off sound turn on DTS then. The next major thing to keep in mind is the comfort of the headset. At first this will feel very tight and uncomfortable on your head. However overtime as you break in the ear pads it will become more comfortable. This does take time it took a few weeks to a month for the comfort to reach a normal level. The battery life with the RGB on isn't too great and will last much longer if you turn it off. I also with the Microphone was removeable because I don't use it. Overall for the sale price of about $100 you are not going to find a better headset for the sound quality at that price. I use it to learn to music in a high quality setting and I also use it for gaming. You will hear sounds in your game or music that you never knew were there because the quality is that good. 10/10 Gaming Headset and Music Headphones.

Driver issues make the device mostly unusable
This would be a 4 or 5 star review if not for the driver issues preventing the device from working. Pros: - Comfortable, this was a welcome upgrade feel-wise from my Logitech headset - Good sound quality when the device works Cons: - The required "JBL QuantumENGINE" driver software simply does not work. I've tried installing on 3 different Windows 11 PCs using various USB ports to no effect. The driver reports "Device not found" on all systems. Some research and review of recent comments indicates the problem has been ongoing for up to 2 years. The device can be used without the driver being installed, but is limited. - The device does not automatically connect via Bluetooth when turned on (possibly driver related) - The volume control on the headset does not function (again likely driver related) - The microphone cuts out about once every 15-60 minutes. The solution is to turn the headset off and back on, reset volume on system to max, and reconnect via Windows Settings. - The volume output level seems to depend upon the system volume level when connecting to Bluetooth, though I haven't been able to narrow it down. Sometimes the audio level is super low that I have to crank it up to 100 to hear, other times it's so loud that level 20 is deafening. Solutions for resolving the driver issue include rolling back to a prior version (though every link I've found is now broken) or to upgrade to v2.0 of the driver (which appears to have been released then pulled back by JBL?) No more JBL products for me.

Wonderful set
My husband has had this for 1 year now and its still holding up well. As we have moved with it twice, it is durable. The sound quality (perfect him) is wonderful and helps immerse him into games. The color changes are just a fun touch as well. Well worth the money for a headset.

Nice headset, very comfy.
OKAY! This headset is really very nice... Not sure I'd be happy with it at full retail, but for the sale price I can live with it. S0 first off is build quality, it's nothing special, it's all plastic, but it's decent quality, feels solid enough in my hands, doesn't give me that chineseium cheap feeling, so I've got no complaints there. The big positive about this headset for me is just how flipping comfortable it is, it feels like having two pillows gently pressed against my ears, and it isn't super heavy, it's really quite pleasant to wear. Now, as for audio... I think it works fine in game, it tends to bring out things like footsteps or environmental noises quite well so it passes there... but I've gotta be honest, the audio is also what disappoints me a bit, while these are capable of some crazy levels of bass for a gaming headset, they tend to have trouble letting all frequencies express themselves. I tried listening to a number of songs and videos back to back, the JBL headset to my LucidSound LS40's that I've had for years now, and even after an hour+ of tuning the EQ I just feel like something is "missing" there's a certain clarity that these just don't have, plus, matter how much I try to dial it out, voices always sound like they're in a bottle or down a hallway, I've got it fairly dialed out, but I can still hear it, I just can't get rid of it completely, And if I push the mids-highs too far in the EQ trying to dial out the hallway effect it just becomes piercing so right now I have it set at the best "compromise" and it sounds "okay" even "good" and at certain times listening to music heavy in lows it can be "great" but it will never be balanced, and will probably never have that "clarity" that my LS40s have. Still trying to decide if I'm going to keep them, part of me loves the "fit" they're probably the most comfortable headset I've ever had.. but I'm honestly wondering if at this price point I should just return them and continue looking for something a little better... I'm going to use them for a few days and we'll see how I feel after that :P Oh one last thing... they've got nothing is reserve, I'm not sure if they're software limited or what, but they're not particularly loud... I generally run them between 80-100% volume vs 40-50% on my LS40s, and I can comfortably sit at 100% with no discomfort, as a matter of fact depending on how the audio is balanced in certain songs they can be downright quiet, leaving me wishing I had like another 20% left on the volume knob haha. just something to keep in mind. They would be 5 star if they fixed the frequency balance and unlocked them to give like 20% more volume... I dont need to be crazy loud, but I always like having a bit more than I actually need, you know? just so it's there.. :D
