It appears to be the same wild rice I can buy in bulk, like Minnesota wild rice. I don't know what you refer to, what it looks like to be able to tell. I cook it using my Instant Pot with the "pot in pot" method. I put 1 cup of water in the bottom of the pot, put 1 rice measure (3/4 cup) of rice and 1 cup plus about 2 tablespoons of water in a 4-cup stainless steel bowl on the trivet in the Instant Pot, lock on the lid in the sealed position, and manually set for high pressure and 20 minutes. I allow the pot to naturally release the pressure, or if I am in a hurry, I can quick release after 5 minutes.
