Amazing quality at this price point! Rear cam may be a 1st gen Starvis, not sure...
I'm shocked at the quality at this price point. I paid $130. The software interface is top notch! They even included an icon on the playback screen to select between front and rear views when playing back a file! -so you don't need to manually search for the corresponding file for the opposing camera. Very nice attention to detail on the software interface! The front camera appears to be a 2nd generation Starvis, the rear cam appears to be a 1st generation Starvis. The angle of view on the rear cam is very wide, however the rear cam image does get cropped a little in full screen mode. This is regrettable because a wider image would show more of what is behind you and is safer than the slightly cropped view. Even with the slight crop the rear image is still very wide. The rear cam cropping is evident when switching between the shared side by side view vs full screen view. The front cam is not cropped when in full screen mode. At night rear camera has a lot of grain, but still has very good detail. This may seem like a flaw but I think they designed the image processing this way intentionally. The image processing is squeezing out the maximum possible detail in the dark areas of the image give all the visual information possible. Good job in my opinion! Speed and clock displays are small and not distracting from the camera picture. The bottom button conveniently turns off/on only the display screen, but keeps the unit in record mode. This is the ideal use for this button. Here's why: if you have a toggle switch to select power either from accessory position (to record only while key is on) and battery direct(to always record even when key is off). You can easily keep the unit powered up and in record while turning off the display with one button press. This creates a surveillance mode without having to by the additional hardwire kit. The physical display width allows me to use my sun visor normally. Other models are too wide and impede the sun visor. Everything works extremely well! I do wish they offered a 2nd gen Starvis rear cam though... I had a Pormido rear view dash cam for 6 years prior to the Jomise. The old Pormido was excellent. I used a SKDW SQ-12 rear view dash cam for 1 month, the cameras are better (both Starvis 2nd gen) but the software, image processing, and interface are terrible and buggy. -Avoid SKDW!

Revolutionary upgrade that transformed my driving experience completely!
This G814 11-inch 4K rear view mirror camera has been an absolute game-changer for my daily driving and peace of mind - the quality is exceptional with crisp 4K resolution that captures incredibly clear footage both front and rear, far superior to my old traditional dash cam setup, and the build quality feels premium and durable enough to handle daily use and temperature changes in my car. The functionality is phenomenal as the large 11-inch mirror display gives me a crystal-clear view of what's behind me without any blind spots, while simultaneously recording everything in stunning detail for insurance protection, and I love that it doesn't require WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity which means no connectivity issues or complicated app setup that always seems to fail when you need it most. It looks great with its sleek mirror design that seamlessly replaces my original rear view mirror without looking like an obvious aftermarket addition, and the intuitive touch controls make adjusting settings or reviewing footage incredibly simple even while driving. At this price point, it's amazing value considering you're getting both a premium backup camera system and a high-quality dash cam in one elegant package - this has already saved me from a potential accident when someone backed into a parking space I was approaching, and knowing I have 4K evidence of everything happening around my car gives me incredible confidence and protection that's worth far more than what I paid for this incredible piece of technology.

High quality over the rearview mirror dash cam
I was looking for a dual channel camera with great picture quality that could replace an older Taotronics dashcam I had suction cupped to windshield. I wanted something that didn't rely on suction cups (the heat kept causing my dashcam to fall off the windshield) to free up some windshield real-estate - Easy enough to install; The length of cable to reach the rear camera (mounted inside) is pretty generous. I had to hide quite a lot of it under the headliner to prevent any hanging - Great picture quality for both front and back cameras; very clear image both ways, and easily adjustable viewing angles - Interface is straightforward and easy to use; very simple swipe gestures to quickly display one or both cameras. Interface it review videos is also very clear - Really like the one touch button to turn off display and use camera as regular rearview mirror - GPS feature has, so far, displayed direction and speed pretty accurately - GPS dongle also has a generous length of cord and hide a substantial amount under the headliner with it mounted toward the top of my windshield A couple of things I noticed about this style of dash cam that anyone on the fence may want to consider: Using the rear camera as your rearview mirror can be a bit off-putting(I'm still getting used to it). Due to the wide angle I sometimes just find it easier to turn off the camera and use it as a regular mirror. When glancing at the camera while it's on, you'll still see the reflection in the screen, so it can be a bit jarring trying to quickly focus on what's behind you. The screen itself, while it can function as a standard mirror, isn't a proper mirror, so the reflection will have a darker tint. Not a big deal during the day, but you could argue its not the best use case a night. Also take note of the length of the camera vs the length of your car's rear view mirror. I didn't measure and have a bit of the mirror showing out from behind one end of the dashcam. Not a big deal as I don't notice it from my viewing angle, but worth noting if you're someone who might. Haven't had a negative experience with it yet. So far the only feature I wish it had was Wifi so that I might easily access recorded clips from my phone.

Having recently been the victim of a 'crash for cash' incident, I knew that I needed something which would help to protect my insurance! This mirror dash cam is excellent quality and gives very clear daylight video feeds. To set up it takes next to no time and all you need to do is to install a SD card to record any issues. I wanted to hide the wiring so tucked them behind the trim... I had already got plastic panel tools so no scratching of my trim and easily fitted. There is an anti glare film available and I would advise getting it for the mirror as this can be a little disconcerting, however, having seen a friend's more expensive version of this product from another manufacturer, it appears that this is a common issue and not specific to this product so I have not held this against this product. Overall, very impressed and I look forward to downloading issues should they occur!

It works fine, but front camera doesn't seems like 4K & Stavis 2 compared to my Xiaomi 70Mai dashcam with same Stavis 2. I found rear camera footage is actually better quality than front. Both camera footage looks like 1080p not 4K or 2.5K. Also there is no wifi or mobile phone connectivity to check file wirelessly. You have to remove TF card every time you need to check a footage like 10 years old dash cam. It works, but not really satisfied.

The product is amazing and I can’t complain about anything. The rear camera can even see through my 5% tints (at night it’s difficult but I have very dark tints so not surprised about that), so i’m happy it can do that. I was glad to see that the reviews of their customer support was very good and that they always helped. My first email I got a response that confirmed the hardwire kit I bought is not compatible and they offered to refund my purchase of another hardwire kit that they recommended, they didn’t need to buy it for me but they did - all in all much better customer support than most companies. Sometimes the reply times vary, but regardless they were very helpful in the end!

The best dash camera we ever bought, the function is excellent, the quality of pictures is clear. The camera capture both front and rear, which can both display on the screen or just the rear, also can adjust the angle of the view. The picture quality can goes up to 4k, which super clear and captured everything.

Good idea but not good as a rear view mirror especially if the sun is behind you shining on the camera I removed mine after three days unfortunately
