The claims on tv do not hold up to actual use. I followed the instructions on proper set up and tried a recipe out of the book that came with it. (By the way it comes with a fantastic recipe book). The utensils that came with it carved large gouges in the bottom of the pan. I was quite surprised how easy it was scratched compared to what was shown on tv. If you did purchase these pans and waiting for them, they are very nice but absolutely do not use metal utensils (even the ones that come with it). If you follow that rule you will probably enjoy them. My lids have shattered for no reason. I was cooking and set the lid to the side and it shattered, and all pots and pans scratch with the utensils provided and have began to rust where they were scratched. I reached out to Emeril customer service and they want me to pay shipping and handling on each piece that’s damaged and send the other pieces back. So in other words, be super inconvenienced, and spend a ton more money on what I already bought that wasn’t worth it. Things aren’t made like they used to be, and IF you but this set, don’t use the metal utensils provided, no matter how much they say it’s going to be ok, it’s not ok! Sadly after less than a year this set is going in the trash.
