This is an excellent brand of mascara! I have dark lashes, but the tips are light, so I thought at least I the tips would turn super purple. I'm afraid they did not. In a magnifying mirror the tips looked purple but the base looked black. In real person, I asked 2 family members and they did not see the purple even after 2 coats. (I had one eye with no mascara and the other eye with the purple). But... LOTS of great attributes ...I will keep using it because it does make my light tips look dark and stand out. And if the light hits it perfectly, someone may see a hint of purple. My favorite color!I love the wand and how the mascara goes on smoothly. It helps to separate the lashes and not let clumping occur.The handle is thin and makes it easy to hold and apply the mascara. The mascara stays put and does not flake off.And when you are ready to take it off, it came off easily for me with Dove unscented bar soap.The price point is excellent for a quantity and for a quality mascara that works exactly as it should. No need for super high dollar products that don't work as well.

Update- I had a mascara emergency recently ( I lost it while applying in the car, stoped, of course) or it fell out of the car for the walk of tardy shame for kid 2….it was a run into Walgreens and I didn’t want to spend a ton for what I may find later. Welcome to my life Wet n wild in the purple tube (waterproof over my primer), it has the same brush, I still poked myself in the eye, but I could tell no difference. Price tag, under $3 on sale. Zero flaking, zero smudge. Never did I think I would love a $3 mascara. Maybe fresher than this one? IDK. I may just have been converted.Original/First I will say that I am a total mascara snob, I do not go ANYWHERE without mascara on. I have used Lancôme for 20+ years and any time I found the “next greatest” mascara and tried it I was so disappointed.I read lots of reviews and could hardly believe that THIS product could be this amazing. I expected a good mascara but nothing that blew me away. I was so wrong! The first time I tried it my lashes looked amazing! I have long and very thick lashes so many mascaras clump the lashes together, even my beloved Lancôme. The ones that do not clump do not seem to produce any noticeable results.THIS mascara not only gave perfect coverage from root easily to tip, it is a perfect level of thickness. There is NO CLUMPING! I have used it over my Lancôme primer just because I find that I get less under the eye mascara as the day progresses. However when I haven’t the lashes still look long, thick and defined.And it is absolutely the best single cosmetic product I have ever used! The brush took a few tries to really feel like I got it, but making sure the very tip is wiped is key to a random blob on my lid. I admit that having used different brushes for so long that I stabbed myself in the eye the first time I used it but that was entirely my fault.I also have always used a waterproof mascara, in heat and humidity it just stays better, however this has amazing staying power. I often fall asleep without removing makeup, but this is still looking great when I get up and is easily removed by my usual facial cleanser. I have not needed eye makeup remover.This was by far the best purchase I have made in a long time. Everyone needs to try this!!!I will add pictures if I can to the review.Edit- I am now on maybe my 4th tube (the first one is still pretty “fresh” and have tried a few others since buying this (ok, I’m obsessed with mascara!) AND given this as gifts multiple times and this still is by far the best mascara I’ve ever used. I have not gotten the waterproof version even though that is normally what I would go with because this one stays put so well.Seriously not sure how it is so inexpensive. Love it and everyone I have given this to has then ordered it.

This mascara is not that special.WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR, MY MASCARA WISH LISTMy lashes are red-head pale and not very long, so the mascara of my dreams would do the following1) Color lashes all the way to the base2) Separate lashes3) No clumps4) Extend lashes5) No black specks drifting down my face6) Able to get to the tiny lashes at the corners of the eyes7) Has a slender applicator8) Curls while it coatsTHIS MASCARAThis mascara, “Vivienne Sabó - Artistic Volume, No Clump” is the newest in my search for a near-perfect mascara. While it’s not terrible, it’s not that special either.*It does seem to be non-clumping and the slender applicator barrel is easy to hold. But that’s about it.The mascara itself is thinner in consistency than most other mascaras. This makes it less likely to clump and probably allows more control in application. It also makes the color look more natural, not shoe-polish black.*It doe not, however, leave the lashes completely separated.*A second coat is darker and thicker of course, but thicker also goes towards spiky—lashes stuck together.*No black speck shedding, but also no lash extension.Note: Under a bright light with reading glasses, the applicator brush looks exactly like that of the Maybelline Define-A-Lash (the one in the green tube).Conclusion: This isn’t great for me, but it’s probably a good every-day mascara for someone with dark hair and naturally thicker lashes ( therefore, four stars).OTHERS I’VE LIKEJust for reference, here are some mascaras that I’ve liked for various reasons:*Lancome Grandiose Extreme. The formula is thick, but the curved brush curls lashes as it goes on and it’s amazing.*Maybelline Full ‘n Soft. It’s light, but feathery and natural looking, a good choice for an un-made-up look.*Maybelline Mini-brush Waterproof, as a final step, gets every last lash.*The Vixen Fiber mascara set, alternating coats of “transplanting gel” (basically glue), and dark fibers. Carefully applied, this looks almost as good as false eyelashes, without having to worry about a dangling eyelash in the heat of passion. (Major speck watch though.)MASCARA APPLICATION TIPSI’m no expert, but as long as I’m writing, here are some techniques that are useful to me.I keep my eyelashes dyed. When freshly done, this gives me lashes dark to the base of the lash and also lets me wake up with visible eyelashes.Of course, before applying mascara, brush and separate lashes with a clean spoolie brush.I apply a bit of light eye shadow on the eyelid above the lash line. I use the pink end of an eye highlighter stick. The contrast really highlights the lashes.I wipe any excess mascara off the brush before applying. Brush through with a spoolie after each coat to remove any excess before it dries.Next I hit the tips of lashes lightly with a lash extending mascaraNext: use the tiny-brush mascara to coat the remaining tiny lashes.Finally, fill in the lash line. Using a very small brush, dot eye shadow in between lashes at the baseline. This makes lashes look both longer and thicker.ELF makes a nice make-up remover pen for any unwanted smudges.

I love this mascara! It is very hard to find true brown mascara. It goes on smooth with no clumps. I have very light colored lashes and this mascara thickens them and gives them length. I put two coats on, one is plenty, but I like the extra color.

1st I have super sensitive eyes&nose. I dont wear makeup but For 1st X.decade I applied Vivienne Sabo' Cabaret Premiym brown mascara it gave my eyes more depth blah blahIt was nxt day that I was truly amazed! My eyes didn't even notice. No bad smell. Nice brush quality&size good coverage color. After applying If I did accidentally touch my eye there was no black on my finger or smeared around my eye!No oily smudg or greasy spreading out. Impossible to remove. Not this stuff!! In fact I didn't remove it before I went to bed and nxt morning I got up and no racoon eyes. This is a game changer for me. Lengthens w/every stroke. More natural looking subtle.So far so wonderful! This is the only mascara I wld purchase again. Suck on that Maybelline Cover girl, Aveda, Horst etc

I am impressed with this mascara. I can make my lashes as thick or as thin as I wish. And control length. And, it has staying power and does not flake and washes off fairly effortlessly.

Excellent product! No clumps, precise wand application. The colors are gorgeous and subtle without being overly dramatic. I’ve used the green and the purple and both last a good while without drying out. Perfect for aging eyes too!

I've used a lot of different types of mascara, both high-end and drugstore. I got this one on sale for about $6, which was a great value for this product. I do like it pretty good and would buy it again; I'd put it in the $12-$15ish price range based on quality. It has the plastic spike 'bristles' and goes on really well. I felt like my lashes were covered corner-to-corner and fanned out nicely and separated. It wasn't messy upon application requiring any clean-up. My only complaint would be that it does have a little flaking/fallout over some hours, but not terribly. Very NOT moisture resistant-- not a problem for me this time of year, maybe not great for humid weather.

Although the green doesn't show up that well on my dark lashes, this mascara gives a softer look overall to the eye area. Black can sometimes look a bit harsh on my more mature eyes!The green is a lovely dark olive shade and the mascara does a great job in lengthening the lashes. So much so that my daughter actually commented how long and lovely my lashes were looking and asked what mascara I was using. She ordered it straightaway for herself.I have found it doesn't clump, doesn't flake and doesn't irritate my eyes.Compared to other mascara's I have used - Chanel, Lancome, Benefit, Bare Minerals etc - this mascara in my opinion sits up there with the best of them and for less than half the price! I am definitely going to try a couple of the other shades out.
