Easy to use, steel lock-body feels sturdy. It won't keep someone from stealing your gun, but it's enough to prevent an immediate unauthorized use of your firearm.

This combination cable gun lock is a much more convenient alternative to using those annoying orange ones that come with your firearm that require a small key. After acquiring a few firearms and wanting to keep them secured, it gets annoying trying to keep track of which little key opens which gun lock, so having a few of these combination ones and not having to worry about keys is a great convenience.

We put this lock around our refridgerator door handles to lock the refridgerator as a way to prevent our teenage kids and their frineds from having access to alcohol inside. It only takes a few seconds to unlock and relock. It has worked well and gives peace of mind. This lock avoids the hassle of hiding and retrieving a key each time I want to access the fridge.

Great lock. Excellent way to lock my second gun rack on top of my wall mounted gun rack. Need to order more to safely secure the guns to the second rack.

I have an autistic child on a special diet, that means when there are certain foods in there that she cannot have I need to lock the fridge. This is the perfect size for that. I no longer need to go to the basement fridge and hide things down there.

Bad experience with this lock all around. The black material on the body appears to be a plastic resin (crap). I set the combination, per the instructions, and then locked and unlocked a couple of times to verify it worked. Put it on my gun. A few days later took it off my gun so I could clean and service it. Put it back on and put the gun away. A week later I have paid for a time slot at the range, and the combination I set will no longer open the lock. There are only about 1000 combinations possible that might have opened it, but I was on the range schedule, so I had to cut the cable to shoot. The range time cost more than the lock, so it was an easy choice. I will be looking for a better quality lock to replace this turd.

This works okay. I wanted a combination lock so that my child couldn't find the key and unlock it. It also ensures that, should I be woken from a sound sleep by a "bump in the night" I need to be clear-headed enough to work the combination and access the gun. My one complaint is the the numbers are hard to read, particularly in dim light. The cable also seems to only lock when inserted with the correct combination set. Numerous times I thought I had locked the gun when I inserted the cable only to find that the lock didn't catch. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE! MAKE SURE WHEN YOU LOCK IT THAT THE LOCK HAS ACTUALLY CAUGHT THE END OF THE CABLE.

The Cable Lock is pretty standard, it's well built and it comes with a nylon or rubberized plastic around the metal cable to protect your investment and the vitals on the inside of your chosen gun. It also has a secondary safety feature where you have to depress a small button on the side of the lock to release the cable along side the number combination. It's not much but it gives you the ease of mind that in the event that a young child gets at the firearm. It wraps around my Savage Mark II Bolt Action Rifle two times to use up some of the extra cable so it's not moving around and potentially doing damage while stored or moved around.

Works great and is a great length giving flexibility for pretty much anything. Combo is easy to roll as many of these devices are tough to manipulate the combo wheels.
