I have coarse and curly hair which is a recipe for disaster as far as ingrown hairs are concerned. My face is generally 95-100% clear at all times, but I would always end up with anywhere from 1-2 to 10 or more red dots/pimples on my neck. I also generally shave at night before going to bed, so I don't worry about the smell after applying it.
