Keep in mind that there are 2 fitment tubes for different engine sizes, so select the correct tube for the engine fit that you have.I have seen a gas mileage increase and the growl from the increased air flow sounds good. There is some power increase and the shifting points are smoother. It is a great value for money considering the performance increase. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to install, love the sound *by S***O on December 3, 2022* Installation: Easy to install but for the emissions hoses I did upgrade to (2) brass 5/8" barb to 1/4" NPT and added my own (4) worm gear hose clamps (get the size that goes from 0.5" to 1.25"). Really a shame that K&N is too cheap to provide these. On the 6.2L the hose coupler to the throttle body seems too large but the clamps are able to secure it in place. Install instructions are clearly written, have photos, and are easy to follow though they don't really tell you which tool to use where in the process.Function: Amazing so far. Really throaty growl from the intake when you start accelerating. I have a Borla cat-back that this intake complements well. Loud in a good way. Throttle response is noticeably better. I am not expecting massive horsepower gains but the Dyno test K&N did showed about a 14 HP gain. I recommend this if you want to improve air flow into your engine and get a nice mean sound. Worth the money to me.I got the plastic roto-molded version because the Black Hawk is slightly more restrictive material and the metal intake conducts heat vs plastic which insulates. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect fit and easy install on 2014 Silverado LT Crewcab w/ 5.3L *by W***M on August 15, 2017* Ordered this unit mainly to improve fuel mileage. Installation could have not be easier. Shipped fast. Super protection. Straightforward instructions. The only thing that would have made it simpler would have been to identify the socket (10mm) to remove the original airbox mounting plate and Allen wrench (needed to secure the new K & N filter to the new housing) - I tried a few Allen's until I had the exact fit, I don't remember the size. No modifications are needed for fitment. It looks great and all items are included to get the unit installed and operational fast. I didn't notice any increase in the sound during regular operation, but when you need to pass someone - that is when you notice you have a performance intake installed. You will certainly feel the improved performance and only a modest increase in sound level. Initial MPG seems to be about 10%. At that rate it would pay for itself in about 22,000 miles (but in less miles when gas prices increase, or when I pull a trailer).
