Unisex Adult Commute Messenger Bag 2.0

Bought this to replace an aging leather messenger bag. I really like this bag -- it has the perfect combination of features, padding and space. It's both lightweight and solid. It's on the pricey side, but I don't plan on replacing it any time soon so hopefully that pays off.

One of my favorite brand. The previous commute messenger bag lasted me close to 10 years, surviving countless trips on top of daily commutes. The new edition fixed the part that failed in the previous version, the adjustable piece that controlled the length of the straps. Great purchase!

No bag is perfect, there are always tradeoffs. Initially liked this better than my old messenger bag, this has more large pockets and an external water bottle storage area (albeit, a narrow one). Downside, is the lack of small pockets for smaller items like pens, gum, etc. Comfortable to wear, seems just as tough as my old bag which lasted my about 15 years (and honestly, is still usable). Biggest downside ultimately was the slightly smaller size. I needed a little more flexibility. So returned. For $200 I figured I should absolutely love the bag.

I'm a bag and briefcase fanatic. I've owned Tumi, Briggs & Riley, Filson, and a few others. This is an OUTSTANDING bag both from a look, quality build, and functionality standpoint. I emptied a Tumi full size expandable briefcase into it and had plenty of room left. Plus, it is a much more functional layout. There are actually 3 main compartments (I would have preferred 2) AND a zippered back pocket for laptops. This is a full-size bag, it's light for what it holds, and the designers seem to have place common sense function above all else. This may be my last bag.

I was worried it would be too small for my partner but it turns out it's perfect for his 15" laptop! It's a little more structured than the other larger Timbuk2 bags so he's enjoying that aspect tremendously. The navy and black combo was exactly what he wanted. Perfect!

I really like this bag. It's a nice color and has pockets in the right places. My only beef with it, is zipping in the laptop in the space provided. It says it fits a15 inch laptop, but the only way I can get our laptop to fit is to take everything out of the bag to zip the laptop in. Even then, the zipper can barely take it, plus the edge of our laptop is usually exposed to the elements by the dual zippers. This makes me feel uneasy that if the bag gets put dow too harshly, or if it rains, the laptop is in danger of being damaged. It's annoying to constantly take extreme care of the bag because I'm afraid of the laptop being unsafe... So I guess I would not call this a protective laptop case. I really like this bag otherwise, and am keeping it to put a different laptop in, but just keep in mind a 15 inch will not comfortably fit.

It’s fine compared to other options. I really hate that this bag feels like a decent quality knockoff compared to my old Timbuk2 bags. Omitting the quick adjustment strap tensioner is a huge mistake. I know this is a “business style” bag or “briefcase” but it looks like a messenger bag with the plastic buckles, clips, Velcro and TPU liner and cordura nylon. You won’t be fooling anyone on wall street this will never go with a suit that costs more than $250.… so why get rid of the quick tensioner buckle thing?

I had a very old trusty messenger bag so take this with a grain of salt. This bag is awesome! sturdy materials, it holds it's shape without anything in it. Lots of laptop sleeves, I can hold two laptops and power supplies. Room for overnight gear for a flight. It has a secret side zipper for the small pouch to allow access with the bag closed. I guess bags have been around a million years so it's an exercise in optimization so this makes sense but I love this bag.
