Got this to replace my aging Kingston DataTraveler secure drive, which had begun to show signs of battery health. It works identically, except that if you don't access it for a period of maybe 15 minutes or so, it automatically turns off, which gives you the "disk not ejected correctly" warning. No harm done though; it's just that my old Kingston never shut off from not being accessed. But I suppose this may be a security feature of the Apricorn (e.g., if you walked away from your computer and forgot the drive was open), so it's not necessarily a bad thing.

Terrible really… suddenly after a few months of very light use, half the keyboard isn’t working and no way to access the data. It took us more than 10 emails to support to get a proper reply. Out of Australia, we need to ship it for assessment first and with our data on it before we get a reply. Despite the manufacturer fault, we’re still required to pay shipment to and from the US, ridiculous really. Looks elsewhere.

Perfect, as all products of this manufacturer. Too expensive compared to alternatives. Sad that this device has only one user pin code. It would be great to have the possibility to limit the use on some specific hosts for simple users, but it is not proposed by any manufacturer.

I own a bunh of Apricorn, and so far only one failed on me. This is a new addition, a USB key, while all the others are HDD/SSHD/SSD Very easy to set up and use. NB: Keep in mind to get a USB extension cord, so you don't have to type the code while plugged-in as the pressure may damage your USB connector (both sides)
