If you need more detailed info, you can just look it up online but this book definitely covers the main idea of concepts so well. It goes straight to the point! So if you struggle with content, this is the book for you! The videos that is listed in the book, helps gain a clearer picture of topics especially the CARS section. This book along with the AAMC practice prep has helped me get more questions correct and has given me confidence to do well on my exam.& I love that it has practice tests but would love to have practice questions integrated too! Overall, great prep book for content! ### ⭐⭐ Fix the lack of visuals and it would be 5 ***** *by D***N on Reviewed in the United States on 26 June 2021* The toughest part about the MCAT is that it tests BIG PICTURE concepts by connecting everything together. The best way to do this is by using visuals to review the big picture of concepts and not just details in text form. This book seems like a good overview, but the lack of visuals makes it very intangible. A good example of this is within the metabolism section (AAMC Category 1D). Glycolysis is explained, but NOT visualized. Same with a few others, besides the Citric Acid Cycle and a basic schematic on Oxidative Phosphorylation. The issue is that you need to be able to visualize all of these pathways connecting with each other and that's impossible to achieve via text. If more visuals were added and a more Big Picture approach was taken, this would be the ultimate MCAT guide.I'll also add that the lack of color is an issue.
