Review: Well written & illustrated - Good story for children! Cute & informative illustrations. My grandson loves helicopters & loves this book! Review: These books are brilliant!. - We have had a set of eight Tony Mitton books for years (submarines, planes, boats, diggers, & others). Although my kids are a bit old for them now, I couldnโt resist spending a few dollars on this helicopter one, mostly out of nostalgia, thinking of the many nights I read the others to my sons (who are now 10 & 12). These books are brilliant!... both the rhymes & the illustrations. Iโd strongly recommend them for a one to six year old boy or girl. Hours of enjoyment.

Great little book for helicopter lovers!
I never write reviews but this book is so cute and perfect for my 21 month old girl who is currently obsessed with helicopters. Itโs very informative but also has rhyming throughout which keeps her engaged. Great pictures as well. Worth the purchase!

Helping my autistic son get into books again
My 5 y/o autistic son is currently obsessed with helicopters. I haven't been able to get him to let me read to him before bed for weeks. I asked him if he'd like to read a helicopter book and he said yes, so I bought this one. He absolutely loves it. The illustrations are great. It rhymes which helps him in learning to read. And it's informative about helicopters. Thank you to the author and illustrator of this book. It's hard to find kids books about helicopters in bookstores. I'm thinking about buying more from this author/ illustrator.

Great childrens' book for complicated machine
Our 3 yr old granddaughter adores this book. It is her 3rd book in this series of Tony Mitton Amazing Machines books. She looks all the details and has plenty of questions. Her parents and her grandparents highly recommend this book for young children. The writing is easily understood by children and the colorful illustrations contribute to the child's understanding of what could be complicated operations.

New Favorite
This quickly became my grandsonโs new favorite book. At 2 years old he had already memorized the words. The book was informative educational and we loved the way it sparked his imagination! Lovely book comes highly recommended from this Nana!

A fun book for toddlers
My 2 year old granddaughter really loves helicopters. She sees them quite often above our home, so I was pretty sure she would enjoy this book. It is perhaps a bit too scientific for a 2 year old, but I have learned some new facts about how helicopters work & she enjoys being read to about her favorite flying machine.

The best children's books need to tick several boxes, and this one does
The best books for small children need to be about something that interests them. They need to have big, cheerful illustrations. The word count needs to be just right - not too much, not too few. And it helps if they rhyme. This book does all these things - but what makes it even better is that it's a book that adults can enjoy too. It conveys information simply and with enjoyable rhymes, so that when a little one chooses it yet again, it's not a hardship for grown-ups to read it. 'Oi, Frog!' is also like this - but where the helicopters book is informative, 'Oi, Frog!' is hilarious. Get both!

A lovely addition to the series. My three-yr-old loves the rhyming format (and so do I!). The pictures are great and there is just a little technical info in there for my budding engineer.
