does ending the alarm reset it back to its programmed time?

Yes. Once you set the time for a particular channel (channels 1 through 4), that's the time that channel is set to unless you reprogram the time for that channel. For example, let's say you have channel 4 set for 5 minutes. If you press the "4" button to start the timer, it will continue to count down until it gets to zero or you push the "4" button again to reset the timer back to 5 minutes. I set channels 4 through 1, respectively, to 5, 12, 30, and 45 minutes. That seems to be a good combination of generic times for various reasons. Also, if you unplug the unit, the programmed in times are retained in memory. So, you don't have to completely reset the thing after a power outage or if you have to unplug it for some reason.

How long can each timer run for

You can set it up to 99 hours and 59 minutes. I did not try to run all four timers at once, however.

No, you have to start over again. But, you can change the timer value to whatever time you left off at.

Once you program the time for each channel, it's saved in memory until you change it. I have channels 1 through 4 saved as 5, 12, 30, and 45 minutes, respectively (what I find are the most common timing settings for what I cook). Also, fun fact - if you unplug it or lose power, the timer saves the programmed timer settings. I moved and had the thing unplugged for two days, and it still saved my programmed timer settings.

Politisch korrekt, ist der Timer das richtige Gerät für alle ambitionierten "Kochpersonen" :D. Praktisch ist immer ein zweiter, selten auch mal ein dritter Timer. In sehr sehr seltenen Fällen kommt es vor, das man versehentlich die Lautstärke auf <null> stellt, das hätte man besser lösen können. Aber eigentlich ist das Ding ja ein Nobrainer von der Bedienung her. Lautstärke ausreichend? Auf jeden Fall, die Nachbarn haben bereits einmal die Feuerwehr gerufen <Spaß>. Wir haben in den letzten 20 Jahren bestimmt 5-8 Timer verschiedenster Preisklassen "vernichtet", also benutzt bis sie im Eimer waren. Hier hoffe ich, dass das Ding der letzte Timer ist :) Würde ich das Teil wieder kaufen/empfehlen? Klares JA!
