I gave This set to my grandson for his sixth birthday, he loves it! It’s cool that it has the LED feature. It’s easy for him to put together and he has a blast playing with it. Highly recommend!

I purchased this Lego set for my 8 year old grandson. He has so many Legos and I was like, does he really need more....lol. Well I gave in, cause I guess you can never have to many Legos. He absolutely loved this gift. Legos and Mario go hand in hand.

The Mario Lego line is certainly not worth the price. But the Easter bunny brought my son a Lego Mario car not realizing you HAD to have Mario or the car doesn't work. Cue me immediately buying this, it is what it is. We've gotten some good play out of it and been gifted some more extensions.

Bought this for my step-son that is 6 and loves Legos and Mario. He was super excited about getting into the box and starting to build, but we soon realized that there were no directions on how to build the project. What they give you is a QR code to log onto an account on a smart device and follow the interactive directions. There are a few problems with this. First, the whole point of Legos is to put down all of the smart devices and just play and build, so to be forced to use a phone to play is doing the exact opposite of its intended use. Second, the directions are terrible. They want you to play a "game" while you are building, which just makes the whole process disjointed and confusing. The poor kid, that normally kills it when putting together Lego sets, even kits for much older kids, eventually gave up and moved on to a different set with paper instructions. The kit itself is really cool, and the interactive Mario figure is awesome. But for a kid that is still young and prefers to follow instructions to a T instead of winging it, it's just a big disappointment.
