Does it work well for marijuana?

With the depth of the bowl, temperature at which the bowl can reach...no. When packed loosely, not packed full and not hot-boxing... yes. Being a wooden contradiction, you have to work with and around certain things.

We have only used ours for smoking marijuana and it smoked great for us!!

What size is the stem? 6mm or 9mm? Because I am needing to replace mine.

Conical shaped - cheap coating

Because of the cone-shaped cup, tobacco tends to compress inside it restricting air circulation and requiring more effort to smoke. When you wash the pipe paint goes off with water. Would not smoke with it nor would I buy it again. Too bad, I loved the long pipe initially.
