They're sturdy and appropriately sized as advertised. The adhesive backing is good quality as well.I really appreciated the reviews mentioning smudge issues, so in the spirit of being helpful (and cautious) I did an ink test across a few different pens I had lying around: 2 different width pens with archival ink, one ballpoint (oil-based) ink, and one gel ink. I did a 5-second, 1-minute, and 5-minute smear test with these pens.I can understand why some people were frustrated and others had no issues. You can see the results for yourself in the picture, but basically-- don't use gel ink on these envelopes. Ballpoint almost never smudged, but I don't think it looked as nice as the archival ink (which barely smudged either). Ballpoint was just a little too thin and maybe because there's a very subtle texture to the envelope's finish, the letters I wrote occasionally faded a little. If you go with archival ink just keep a mental note to not touch it for a full minute, and even if you do, at least it still won't smear horrifically the way the gel ink did. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Diy wedding invites *by H***W on Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2024* I used these for my diy wedding invites.
