What's the best way to thin it?

Createx makes a product they call Airbrush Extender. This is a transparent medium, so the more you add, the less opaque this white will be.

Do I need to use a primer with this, if I don't, will the paint easily come off of figures ?

It depends on what they are made of, and whether it has a porous finish or smooth finish. Generally, if it has some roughness to the finish, you will be fine.

can you spray the paint on metal using the bottle or you will need to pour the paint from the bottle into an air brush or spraying device?

It is too thick to spray without reducing it first.I would put it in an airbrush and reduce it.If you reduce it in the bottle you will ruin it for future use

I like this paint but it's a bit finicky. You'll most likely need to strain the pain before airbrushing. I've used this for cosplay builds mostly (check renegade.props for practical uses)
