As an avid cyclist, safety has always been my top priority and the Lumos Ultra is basically an extra layer of safety for my night rides. The lights on the front and rear not only look cool but also significantly increase visibility. And it definitely works because I've noticed that cars are more aware of me, giving me a wider berth when overtaking. One of my favorite features is the turn signal lights. I was a bit skeptical at first but was quickly convinced. The helmet comes with a wireless remote that mounts easily on the handlebar, so I can activate my turn signals without letting go of the grips and the optional remote upgrade enables brake lights. It's not just a gimmick; it's practical and enhances communication with drivers behind me. The MIPS feature ensures that your head is protected from rotational impact forces. Hopefully, I won't have to use it! Though it's comforting to know that Lumos has gone the extra mile to incorporate this technology. One might think that a helmet with so many features would be complicated to use, but it's the opposite. Pairing it with my smartphone was a breeze. I can customize the LED patterns, control the brightness, and even track my rides—all from my phone. The battery life is also impressive, it uses a USB type-C cable. While this helmet is designed with amazing tech features, it's essential to note that its primary goal is to ensure you're visible to others, not necessarily to light up your path. And for those wondering about audio features, it doesn't come with built-in speakers or an intercom system. It's all about prioritizing visibility and safety on the road. After all, I want the trucks to stay AWAY from me! All in all, it covers all the bases - safety, functionality, and a bit of flair. I can focus more on enjoying my rides. I've even had people stop me just to say how cool the helmet looks! Highly recommend it for anyone who rides at night. Honestly, you won't want another helmet after experiencing this one.

Outstanding helmet. Would have given 4 stars because instructions were ~ none; no transformer with the charging cable; on/off switch difficult; the Red version sadly not available, but still a great helmet. MIPS I believe is worth the extra and the light weight and fit are great, the lights are bright and the turn signals amazing. Good value for the money. Mo. later update: Minor problem: 1. with a recumbent, bumpy ride, the rear Mips inner part knocks loudly against the outer, need some adhesive foam tape. Lumos agrees. 2. The rubber charging cover difficult to lift, better after ~20 uses. Some might need a small visor.

This helmet is awesome! It sinks with the directional turns signals with my ebike. Also, it's comfortable and very aerodynamic, i.e. doesn't get hot while wearing.

Very happy with fit and functionality. Head band adjustment works great. Head light and back lights work great. As noted in other user comments the head light is only intended for providing visibility for the cyclist. Since I am using the helmet when riding a terra trike it would be nice if a means for hanging the turn signal around the neck. Terra bikes do not provide much handle bar room for accessory attachment. Delivery was much longer than normal Amazon turn around. (possible because a small helmet was needed).

Perfect fit. Great protection. Comfortable and lightweight. Lights work perfectly. Worth the price. The design is flawless and sleek. Great style. Airflow is great you don't get super hot. And the sound is loud enough to let you know it's on.

Returning this Smart Bike Helmet (MIPS certified). Ordered size Large based on my head circumference. Helmet was very uncomfortable in the top & back of head after adjusting the fit. I was disappointed with the foam strips inside of helmet they didn’t provide much cushion comfort. If your helmets not comfortable then you won’t enjoy your ride. Black Friday pricing drove this purchase being a Smart Bike MIPS Helmet & Lights functionality on helmet but I won’t do this again. Also, this helmet does not provide any protection for back of neck which is important if you are in a cycling accident.

Plusieurs années que je l utilise pour du velotaf et franchement au top. Le jour ou il rendra l'âme j'en reprendrai un directement. Niveau sécurité on est bien visible de loin et c'est le principale. Je n'utilise pas la fonction des clignotants car certains automobilistes n'y pretent pas attention .

Great helmet - good batry life and confortable. You do notice the extra weight when coming from a normal helmet, though you soon get used to it!
