A: Depends on how clean that frequency (channel) is and how well tuned your radio is. I can reach over 5 miles in certain open areas, sometimes more. This is a good antenna.

A: Agree with Tom. This would make a poor base antenna. The Antron 99 is what I run at home and was well worth the money.I have talked skip all over the country with only a 100 watt set up.

A: yes that is the longest Francis Amazer you can get now. I could not find the original length one any where. This one does work pretty good though.
