READ THIS BEFORE BUYING.
Comes in amazing quality and comes without any damages or issues. It’s amazing for 28 dollars. I highly recommend buying. Now I can play disc games again! (You do need a soldering kit but there’s videos how to solder repair your drive and make it run disc games again.)

Worked perfectly
Worked great! Every game that didn’t work works now. Easy to install, had a harder time opening the Xbox, then installing this. I am going to buy a second one for my Xbox series s next. Thank you

Drive Defective
After tearing down the XBox to get at the old drive and swapping out the boards followed by putting everything back together the drive was unable to pull a disc in. My best guess is the gear mechanism is flawed. Reinstalled the old drive just to be sure and while it wouldn’t read anything on the disc it otherwise functioned normally. Huge waste of time.

Works flawlessly.
This worked and fit perfectly! After soldering my old board to it and reinstalling the drive, it booted every game I had on the first try, no problems! I'm happy with the price I paid. Unfortunately, this does require some minor soldering skills. Make sure to reuse the gap liners from the outside of your old drive case, as this one does NOT come with any. I think it prevents the drive from moving about and helps prevent dust from entering via the drive bay.

Was more work taking apart the Xbox and putting it back together than swapping the board in the DVD drive

Great replacement for worn drives
Finally got around to installing this drive. The soldering wasn't too bad, I've soldered before so I knew what I was getting into, the two wires are labeled r and b for red and black, I did add more solder, be careful on this one, I assembled everything and the drive didn't even power on, what had happened was that the new soldered material was touching the metal cover so it was grounded, simple fix, I added electrical tape to the inside cover around the area where the red and black wires are and tested it before assembling everything, it loaded the disc right up. I attached a screenshot of Forza motorsport 5 loading up, there was almost no noise from this new drive. Take your time and be mindful of adding new solder and you should have a working Xbox again. Works good…after modification
Installed drive and it didn’t work. Found out there is a bit of modification involved in this. Took everything apart again and modified. Works good now.
