Kitten, Chicken Breast Formula in a Hydrating Purée, 3oz Can (Pack of 12)

I’ve been buying Weruva Kitten Chicken Breast Formula in a Hydrating Puree for my four kittens and their mother for almost 9 months, and it’s one of their absolute favorites. Having trouble getting your cat to eat or gain weight? If they already like churu, they will probably like this puree, with the added benefit of being a complete food! Was so happy my picky senior who was sick and lost a lot of weight loved eating this food, especially since the chicken puree has almost double the calories of most similar sized cans (125 calories or so!). He enjoys the chicken puree the most with some added water so he can easily lick it up. Fish based one was a hit as well but it has considerably less calories.

I do rescue and often have newborn kittens. This is the perfect food for kitten when they are first weaning.

according to my cat he loves this thing, he hasn't told me what he likes about it specifically but i assume by the rate at which he eats, he absolutely loves it. perfect for keeping my little guy hydrated too, having him on a exclusively wet food diet really surprises me how much less he goes for the water. but spending the amont of money one would spend on takeout for a night is perfect if i get to feed my cat for like 3-4 days. affordable and great for your cats.

This is a quality product! I've used Weruva for 10 yrs for my cat (who passed away in June) and now for my new kitten. ALL natural chicken breast. And while this is pate for my kitty, I bought the adult cat food which is real chicken breast you can see...no fillers.

[Update on 8/9/2022] I reached out to Weruva and reported the issue to them. Office Manager Nic Pantaliano at Weruva explained what might have happened. I copied and pasted his responses below to tell the story from both sides. * Changed from 1-star to 3-star for Weruva's customer service. * === Hi Sheng, Thank you for your email to Weruva and support of our products. We appreciate the inquiry and are glad you contacted us. It is not unusual for the color of the meat to change a bit as the meat interacts with the vitamins and minerals during cooking. For example, calcium often may dullen or make the formula a bit grey. As we use natural ingredients and do not blend them or add in color “stabilizers”, we get some natural variation. This is what you are seeing in the picture you sent. From a production standpoint, we do not add any preservatives to the food. Our pouched foods still have a 2-year shelf life, 3 years for cans, and this is accomplished through the cooking process. The ingredients are first cooked, and the cooked food along with other ingredients are then put into the can or pouch where they are hermetically sealed. The next step in the production is the retort process. Based upon the size of the can or pouch, the ingredients, and the density of the ingredients, the can or pouch is heated at a certain time and temperature. This phase, performed on international human food standards, is one of the critical control steps that is heavily monitored. This process is the commercial sterilization process that is designed to kill all single cell organisms. This is what gives our food a minimum two-year shelf life without adding preservatives. Unless there is a breach, the can or pouch will be sterile (no bacteria) upon opening. Rancid or rotten food will typically have a very obvious bad odor and appearance. Please know we always have a 100% guarantee on our formulas, so if you or your kitties are ever dissatisfied for any reason, if interested, both opened and unopened cans may be returned to the place of purchase for a refund/credit. Other cans even if they look good (pink-ish), smell okay and are not expired yet, don't eat it. My two kittens had loose/watery stools after eating the food. Reported to Amazon.
