Great multi use flavor
This Thai Basil Garlic Paste is a great addition to stir fry and soups. The item creates a simple but tasty flavor to those dishes. I have now made multiple purchases and it has been a solid addition to whatever I cook.

Great product w/ clean ingredients
Good product with good ingredients. It’s hard to find foods and spices without all the garbage preservatives and endless ingredients list. These are about as clean as I can find. I’m a very picky eater and read labels. This one is a solid choice.

Really Good!
I have a very hard time finding fresh Thai Holy Basil so I tried this as an alternative. It is very good! It’s described as “punchy” and it is but not overwhelming. The basil is the dominant flavor, which is perfect. I would add garlic anyway so this gives me the ability to add more fresh garlic to taste. Draw backs are that the product is a bit grainy and it’s suggested you use it within 30 days once opened.

Great Substitute for Fresh Basil
Yes. The recipe called for Thai Basil, fresh, and this paste was a great substitute. Made the curry for family and everyone was pleased with the results. Very tasteful results.

Thai basil is not even one of the first ingredients... They dont offer returns or refunds. I DON'T RECOMMEND

Delicious Authentic Style Asian-Inspired Taste
Delicious authentic tasting concoction makes a great basis for/addition to Thai or other Asian inspired dish you might be preparing. And gluten free! I’ll be sure to reorder this product.

Bitter Tasting but WONDERFUL Customer Service
Product name made me think it would taste like Thai basil but there is no actual Thai basil in the ingredients. It contains holy basil, which I learned after buying, is very bitter. I don't recommend this product. UPDATE January 2022: Although the product was not to my personal liking, I was very impressed with the professionalism of Mekhala's customer service. I recently came across the tiny THANK YOU SO MUCH card sent with my original order and decided to email them directly with my concerns (as the item showed on Amazon as non returnable). They were very quick to respond and have already refunded my order. Good (and prompt) service is hard to come by these days and so very much appreciated by customers. **For the wonderful customer service that I received, I am changing my review to 5 stars.
