This stuff is amazing for me! Fills me up and actually holds me for longer than 4 hours. Doesn’t taste like a lot of vegan protein powders. Mixes up very smooth and flavors are great!

Happy Viking is my favorite protein powder that I've tried. It delivers 30 grams of protein a serving, plus a wonderful lineup of additional nutrients included that are all plant based and improved eco-friendly packaging -- all things I appreciate and look for. Equally important though, it actually tastes good! Unlike many other protein powders it has no bad aftertaste and is just as good blended up only with water and ice as it is mixed with other ingredients like milk and fruits for a smoothie or used in protein balls or baking. Chocolate is my current favorite flavor, but I also like vanilla for mixing into other things if I want a more neutral flavor involved, and I'm hoping they bring back the cookies and cream flavor soon as that is my actual #1 (the variety pack is a good way to try multiple flavors at once too). The only reason I am giving this product 4 out of 5 stars is the price. While ultimately still worth it to me for the great taste and what it provides, I really wish it was more affordable as I do tend to go through it pretty fast with how frequently I use it these days. But that's the only thing that will cause me to continue to try other protein powders. Because this one is tops!

Very smooth texture. The bag is surprisingly large and full. It's very tasty but not over-chocolatey. It mixes well with water and is creamy.

I mix this with Fair Life (lactose free) chocolate milk and it is good. I tried it with water but that didn't work for me. I like the taste better with milk. It would probably be good with oat milk or almond milk, too. I drink one shake a day for lunch as a meal replacement. I recommend to anyone looking for a good meal replacement shake that will keep you satisfied for several hours. Update: After using this as a meal replacement and following a gluten free diet, I have lost weight and my labs at the doctor's office have improved. My bad cholesterol is lower and for the first time ever, my good cholesterol has improved. My inflammation is down and I've had fewer "pain days." I plan to continue this daily routine into 2025 and hope to lose even more weight. Editing to add that while I love the chocolate flavor, I recently tried the berry flavor and did not like it at all. It has a terrible after taste that I don’t notice with the chocolate. I will stay with the chocolate flavor.

I love this protein shake, you get your protein, greens, fiber and it tastes good. I mix it in a blender with non-fat milk and a little instant coffee. It mixes well, works great as a meal replacement and isn’t really overpriced, imho.

The new packaging is terrible. Not a single bag has actually resealed and I had to transfer it all to a Ziploc bag. In addition, the powder sticks to the sides of the bag so when you have to reach your arm in the bag to scoop out the powder, you get covered in it. That didn’t happen in the plastic container. The bag has 33oz and the plastic container had 24oz but the new scoop in the bag is twice the size as the scoop that was in the plastic canisters.

I’m going to be in the minority here but this shake is too sweet but that artificially sweet that comes from fake sugar. There’s a definite aftertaste. It smells great but that sweetness kills me. I am someone who typically eats real sugar, just less of it. I love the nutrition the shake provides and since I bought it, I was determined to continue drinking it. Here’s my tip if you find the shake too sweet. Blend it with ice and add coffee (in my case I add 1 teaspoon decaf instant coffee). The bitterness from the coffee helps balance out the sweet taste, and the ice helps too. I also add 2 tablespoons of powdered peanut butter (powdered so it’s low calories - you can get it on Amazon). You can’t taste the peanut butter really since the chocolate powder is so strong but it makes the whole thing taste SO much better and less artificially sweet.

It tastes incredibly delicious and dissolves effortlessly, with tons of superfoods and nutrients on top of the protein. I have tried at least three other chocolate protein powders, and Happy Viking is by far the tastiest and the one with the most nutrients. I hope that the seller offers it on a subscription option to get a regular discount.
