This was actually a purchase for my father-in-law. He's been a Lagerfeld man for years and loves the distinctive scent and value. Always a great idea for his birthday, Father's Day or Christmas gift!

You men out there would love this fragrance very inexpensive to Amazon

For a musky type of scent it's well done and subtle, was suggested by a colleague and to my surprise it wasn't that bad. I don't wear scents like this, but I think it's still well done and will be purchasing the flankers of this as well.

I didn't really know what to expect with this cologne as I hadn't tried it before ordering here on Amazon- I was only somewhat vaguely familiar with it from it's long history. I wore it today after getting my package from Amazon... at first, I really didn't like it. On the first spray, I thought- what is this thing? It had something of a antiseptic type smell at first. That almost immediately dies out as it dries down and it's replaced with a really nice and light barbershop/powdery smell with a lot of complexity in the background. You definitely get a lot of the tonka bean/vanilla type notes, but there's something difficult to define behind it. There's an herbal hint to it that's subtle and nice. For the price, it's a great buy in my view and I can think of lots of occasions where it's a great choice. Very long lasting on this first try-out today. I think for me, it's probably something I'd be more likely to wear in the summer or days where I would want a more subtle scent. This is not something that projects out and chokes the room. Very pleased!
