Easy to use.
I have XL on my 2 week old chicks. I will have to upgrade soon to the Happy Hens leg bands. I have Dominique's, RIR and Australorps right now. These bands are easy to use. If you don't need to mark young chicks. I would wait until they fit in the Happy Hens legs bands. So you are not changing out so often.

Sizing tips
Sizing tips! I've been using these for a couple years now and have bought many times. For standard size chickens like say an ameraucana or Barred rock you start with a medium at hatch. They are nice and loose but I have never had one fall off out of hundreds of hatches. At around 3 weeks I switch to the XL and that's usually good until around 7 weeks old. Re used old ones will break.

Great for ducklings!
XL is perfect to identify ducklings from wks 1 to ~3 probably. Pics are of 8 day old ducklings. You can see they’re loose but small enough to stay on & hopefully get a few more wks out of this size

Good
I have 2 week old chick's and didn't realize I bought XL instead of small. They work great on my larger hens. I love the bright colors.

Handy for ID'ing Chicks, But Keep an Eye on them
These are super easy to use and come in a good variety of bright colors that make it easy to tell chicks apart at a glance. You get a lot of them, so they are a good value. The stretch is great for growing birds—but you do need to keep a close eye on them. One of our chicks somehow got his toe stuck in a band that was still around his ankle. We caught it quickly, but it could’ve gone sideways fast. They're durable, hold up well, and fit older chicks and young birds just fine. Just check daily, especially as they grow.

Didn’t work with my chicks
The leg bands were nice but I had a hard time deciding on size and then once I got one on the chicks, they didn’t like it and kept pecking at them so I had to take them off. Not every chick is created equal so this may work for yours!

Love it. Soft and flexible
Get these for chicks and older chickens up to 3 months of age.

So easy to put on
So easy to put on our birds. We love to identify our birds, and have struggled in the past with other bands. These slip on the birds so easily, and do not fall off.
