Great for older PLC's
Got this to work with an ALLEN BRADLEY SLC 5/04 PLC processor. Had to take it out of it's metal case because I did not have a Male to Female DB9 cable at the time. At first it wouldn't work because I had a null modem adapter between the usr and processor. The pinout in the manual for the usr led me to believe that i needed to flip flop the Rx & Tx lines. But after removing the null adapter, it worked. So either it was wrong, or the pinout for my PLC was wrong. I got it setup up on a static IP on my home network and can access it anywhere with anything (including VNC'ing into my server with a smartphone from work. I was able to go online with the PLC from 3 different computers at the same time even. It did take some time setting up the serial comms options so it's not a "Pull it out of the box, plug it in and it works" thing. If baud rate, parity, RTS, DF1, CRC, or packet size are foreign words to you, buy this at your own risk. Or actually, do buy it. If you don't know anything about how RS232 comms work, this would be a great learning tool. If it works on ALLEN BRADLEY'S proprietary DF1 protocol (which this thing does not know what that is and nothing else on this planet uses it), then it will work on anything.

Works well. documentation poor
Does what it says and appears reliable, but the documentation is very poor (come on guys, hire an English tech writer for a week). If you understand how such things work, you can easily overcome the documentation. But if you do not know the basics of serial transfer and TCP/IP - then best to get someone who does to assist you. Solves the problem at less than half to cost of other solutions.

Great. Configured it for my specs
Bought this in an effort to get a serial label printer running on an Ethernet network (Needed to replace the one that is there and damaged). I got it, download the manual, read through the how to get connected to it and used a spare laptop to connect to the built in web page. Great. Configured it for my specs, confirmed it was configured correctly, disconnected it and walked it to the location. Plugged it in and pinged the IP. Could see it just fine. Sent a print job and nothing so I assumed I didn't set the serial side properly. Tried to log into the web page, with the current IP, and it was unreachable. Pinged it and it responded. Tried the web page again and nothing. One last ping and it stopped responding after the second one. Tried pinging repeatedly and nothing. Took it back to my desk and hooked it up and got nothing. Used the reset button and was finally able to access it via the set up software. Am able to configure it but still can't get the web interface to load. I have been working on it for the last 2+ hours and nothing. This thing is the trash I deserve for paying $30 for it. This is going back and I can assure you, this company will not ever get another dime from me.

Built well, works great
If you need a cheap way to send serial command over IP, then this works great. It's built well, can act as either a server or a client, and works with Bitfocus Companion if you need that!

Awesome little adaptor and exceptional value
I connected it up to an ancient lab moisture measuring instrument with a com port, connected the other end to my network, installed their software (Windows 10) and within a few minutes was reading data! I was stunned how simple it made dialing in the configs. Really excellent, easy to use software, solid hardware. This thing is going to solve a lot of interface issues for me as we digitize our older lab instruments.

Access a seial port over the internet or LAN
Perfect for accessing a serial port, over the internet, on your PC. I use the old Hyper Terminal program from the Windows XP days as it still works on newer operating systems. But there are other ways to access as well.

Facile à configurer par une interface web, il s'interface ensuite très facilement par exemple avec un programme en python. La qualité de fabrication est bonne. Il est fourni avec un adaptateur secteur.
