I would recommend that you not purchase this product.First, the good: The screw is of the "pigtail" type (not the "drill" type), which is preferred because it tends to chew up the cork less. Okay.The bad: (1) The corkscrew was not well packaged. The package was opened, and the corkscrew itself had some cosmetic damage to the black casing (which is plastic). (2) The upper section is not a solid metal piece, it is plastic with a chrome paint covering it. I discovered this after using the corkscrew for two weeks (of infrequent use), when the chrome paint began to peel off. Now, it still works but looks like a piece of junk.
