Does this case cover the back and front of phone?

No. It covers the back and sides of the phone and protrudes slightly over the front of the screen (less than 1mm) but the screen is not covered.

Does this fit a pixel 6a?

I have a pixel 6 which it fits. Looking online suggests a 6a has different dimensions so I assume it wouldn't fit.
