While the vibration alert might not be sufficient to wake me, it does quite well in alerting me to alarms that I've set for reminders. Both the alarm function and timer functions perform perfectly. If you need more than one alarm to set, I'm sure Casio has a watch with that feature. Just not at this price point. I've listened to the audible alarm, and I just can't hear it in ambient noise conditions. But that vibration alert works perfectly. The stop watch works well, as does the illumination. The illuminator is a sort of white light that appears to originate from the bottom of the watch face, and it makes the dial very easy to read in the dark. As far as the ten year battery, well who knows? I don't know when the watch was made, or when the battery was put in, so only time will tell. Doesn't really matter, as changing one of these batteries just involves some precision screwdrivers and a new battery. Takes all of five minutes to accomplish.
