Only problem is I used it 3 times and the bigger pestel started to chip and then broke in half at the handle so if its possible to buy the pestles separately. I'd say buy them elsewhere so far the mortar seems ok. I thought the quality was better from most of the reviews but now im not sure if i just happened to get a bad piece. But broken after 3 uses is pretty lame. Using these are a staple in our culture and hard to find around my area i had high hopes with this and with the amount of money spent on it.so thats why I give it a 2 star. They reached out to me and were very kind and willing to help me get the pestle replaced. So decided to go ahead snd try this second time. I appreciate how kind and willing they were to help.
