There are many factors that go into choosing the proper RadonAway fan for mitigating the elevated radon levels. Some of these factors include square footage of the concrete slab, permiability of the sub-slab material as well as the pipe diameter of the system. The GP301 may be suited for this application and consulting with a local Radon Professional may be necessary to make that determination.

**Q: My radon reading is 5. the basement sq foot 2500'. i currently have a 3" passive system with a 45' run to the attic. what fan should i buy?**
A: Go to the EPA website for manifold pressure chart. They will answer your questions on that chart.

**Q: Does this unit have a sensor to activate it or does it runs all the time?**
A: The fan is designed to run continuously.

**Q: Does this one need primer and cement to seal? From description seems no need, just to confirm.**
A: Grab 2 fernco couplings and use those incase it needs to be serviced or replaced. It will fit of 3in. Or 4in. Pvc pipe get the couplings according to the piping you currently have installed.

For me it is strong enough to remove the Radon Gas and reduce the level from 7.9 to 2.0Also operates at a pretty low noise level.

I check on the Radon system every once in a while, like every few months. The fluid in the basement Radon tube was at the even level; this means something if off and not working. In most cases, it means there is no power to the fan, or the fan is not working. Pre-tested the outlet to ensure there is the power to the fan. There was. And the fan was quite. Ordered a matching fan, exactly the same. Once the cord is unplugged, you do not need to go to the electrical panel. You do not need an electrician. It does not come with the power cord, but you can easily reuse the cord from the existing fan. Check the cord for no damages! Match wire colors to tie-in the old cord to the new fan wires (power, neutral, and ground), test the new fan before installing it in place. Put everything back in the place, plugged in the fan, and the fluid in the basement Radon tube was offset by the vacuum in the system. The entire job took an hour. In my case, all tools I needed were a 5-in-1 screwdriver as the screws used are universal (that's the 5th use of this awesome screwdriver that nowadays every household has), tester, and some electrical tape. You do not need to call a 'professional' to install this fan if you are just a bit handy with stuff around your home. Save and keep in your pocket like $500. Pictures posted for visual help.
