Viori Hidden Waterfall Shampoo and Conditioner Bar Set Made with Rice Water - Handcrafted Sulfate Free Shampoo and Conditioner

I rarely review items I purchase from Amazon, but this product rates my two cents. For the last 3-4 years I have noticed an increased amount of hair in the shower drain and my de-tangling comb after washing my hair. I also noticed an increase in oily buildup and an itchy scalp. I currently have 3 different medicated shampoos as well as 2 different types of conditioner in my shower, I will probably use them to bathe my cat. If this sounds like you, let me start with the facts. I am 70 yrs old, my hair reaches to the middle of my behind and I was this close to shaving my head, that is how frustrated and discouraged I have become. Then I asked my mail lady, a very pleasant Hawaiian woman with very long hair, what she uses. Keep in mind she did not recommend a brand name, she just said get the rice water bar. So with that and with only reading reviews/looking at price I settled on Viori, I bought the set, when it arrived the very same day I was in the shower lathering up my head. 1st, the Hidden Waterfall scent is to die for. It takes a little effort to get the lather at first but trust me it will happen. The conditioner bar doesn't have the same intensity of scent but it doesn't mask the shampoo scent. One of the most immediate results were the comb out was alot easier than normal, my hair was very silky to the touch , and the usual frizzy ends were notably reduced, now on day 3 w/ no oily buildup or itchy scalp. But the thing that blew me away was when I happened to stand in a shaft of light streaming into my house was the SHINE, My hair has not seen shine like this in over twenty years and all this w/ the 1st use, so looking forward to updating this review in 6 mos.

I am always looking for that perfect hair product and I think this one could be it. I have VERY thick hair, oily and itchy scalp, and all the frizz. I have used this set for four washes so far and each time my hair has been clean, soft, and shiny. The scent is subtle and soothing. I wet and gently glide the shampoo bar all over my wet hair and then scrub with my hands. It lathers very well and penetrates the thick hair right down to the scalp. After a thorough rinse, I wet the conditioner bar and swipe it over my hair and ends. It seems like like the conditioner isn't adhering at first, but then it's obvious when I start to massage it in. It coats so evenly by adding a little water. I let that sit in my hair while I wash my body. It doesn't drip down my back like other conditioners. It stays on my hair, and what little may drip has not made my skin break out. The conditioner works so well, there's no residue and I do not need leave in conditioner afterwards to detangle. I let my hair air dry and there is minimal frizz and lots of beautiful shine. My scalp feels fantastic and does not itch between washes. It also does not seem to get as greasy. I'm smitten.

I will never buy another shampoo. I absolutely love this shampoo and conditioner. It smells amazing, it makes my hair so soft. My hair also doesn't get as greasy which is a huge win. My hair has never been healthier! Its growing again its soft and my hair stays smelling good. Again i absolutely LOVE this Set.

This was the first bar shampoo and conditioner I’ve used, and I was honestly a bit skeptical about how well it would lather. Turns out, it worked great. My hair felt soft, clean, and more moisturized than with most shampoos I’ve tried. The scent’s nice and subtle, and the rice water in it is a good touch. The only downside was I kept it in a closed container, which caused it to smell moldy after a while, so I had to throw it out. Since I really liked the results, I’ll probably buy it again and just make sure to store it somewhere it can air dry properly. Overall, it’s a solid product.

I absolutely LOVE this duo. I have curly, dry hair and have tried EVERY drugstore product out there. Nothing helped me and my hair remained dry and frizzy. I decided to give this product a try and I WILL NEVER GO BACK. First, the scent is AMAZING 👏 . I have no clue what a hidden waterfall would smell like but this is 100% it. I guarrentee when you hop into the shower you will be convinced youre washing your hair in some mysterious hidden oasis. Secondly, it's sustainable so the packaging is good for the planet and beautiful. Third, it just WORKS. I'll admit it was wierd to switch to solid shampoo after using liquid all my life, but It really is easy to switch. It softens my curls and makes it easier to detangle. Not only that, these bars last a long time. Mine lasted me nearly 2 months for one set! Cost effective? Check. Smells great? Check. Good on curly hair. Double check. This is officially my favorite hair product out there. In conclusion, in case you're wondering if this review is paid, it isn't. Consider it another curly haired girl tired of drugstore shampoo nonsense, keeping it real so you can really know if this stuff is worth your money. It's 100% worth mine. Update! It's been 2 years of using this product and I'm still loyal to it. I love it and have tried the other scents as well! I 100% still reccomend it!

Love this shampoo and conditioner!!! Made my hair so soft! It smells so good!! And the package is so cute! This brand is definitely a favorite! It goes in smoothly and comes out easily! Very cleansing. And the conditioner is very moisturizing. The bars hold up well and last a long time!

So. I have a few words for this. First, I am seeing a bit of regrowth around my hairline. My hair was past my waist for many years. I had to wrap it around my neck to use the bathroom. And I loved high ponytails. However, my hairline did not. I was getting blisters on my head from the stress. The regrowth is not overnight. I suspect it’ll take years. Which is my own doing for not caring for my scalp and hair. Now, the shampoo is great. It cuts the excess oil out of my scalp but doesn’t strip it. My hair is light and weightless. I have very fine and straight hair. My ends are dry, but my scalp is oily. This does a good job with both. The bar is sturdy and easy to lather. I know some people say to lather it in your hands first, but because my hair is straight, I just rub it down my hair like you would with a brush. And I double cleanse. Although to be fair, I wash my hair every 2-3 days with a lot of brushing in between. The conditioner is strange. It’s not in the cute shape of the shampoo, there’s less of it. It does not lather. It does not easily spread to the hair, and when I was using it a few minutes ago, it broke in half! The conditioner does not work in the slightest if you wash it out immediately. You need to let it sit in your hair for three to five minutes. And even then, it will not hydrate your hair. Even using my Paul Mitchell super skinny hair serum thing, my hair still feels dry at the ends. The conditioner is the worst thing I’ve ever tried. But it doesn’t leave a residue if you rinse it well. Because it doesn’t lather, it’s extremely difficult to know if product is still in your hair. I’ve had to run my head under the faucet a few times. Get the shampoo, find a different conditioner. Do not use this on dryer hair types. You will not get the hydration you need. It only works for me because my hair is not a dry type. I got the hidden waterfall scent. You can smell it in the packaging. But it is barely noticeable. Even holding my hair to my nose immediately after a shower, it’s barely detectable. The scent does not matter, you will not smell it either way. Also, it is significantly softer than the shampoo. And it’s rugged bar shape makes it difficult to hold. And I didn’t get the bamboo holders, however, I have opinions. Bamboo is highly susceptible to mold. Every bamboo thing I’ve seen that gets near humidity and water regularly will mold without a coating. And this looks uncoated. You are better off getting something else to hold these. Do not fall for that unless you want it for something else. Summary: The shampoo is good. The conditioner is a waste. It takes forever to even get the product into my hair. And then it barely hydrates me. I do see some regrowth and some added thickness to my hair, however, do not expect this to be a miracle worker. It will not instantly cure your hair woes. It’s a shampoo, not a magical elixir in a bar. Also while the shampoo is in a cute shape, the conditioner is smaller and not in a cute shape. Why less of the thing you use more of?? The scent is not noticeable. And so therefore I will describe it as nonexistent after being exposed to water. And finally have a good serum on backup. My hair is only soft right now because I put my go to serum in it. I have not tested this on dye. And my opinions are my own. I was not coerced, asked, or received anything for this review. Viori seriously needs to take another look at their conditioner recipes. If it behaved like the shampoo, it would be amazing. But alas, it reacts more like a bar of clear wax you use to coat string so you can thread a needle easier.

I'm really excited to keep using these products. I have been using a different brand of shampoo and conditioner bar brand, and really like how they perform. Only issue is, it exacerbates my dandruff. Decided to give this brand a try to see if it gave me similar results without the dry flaky scalp. After just one use with these products, my hair is so shiny and healthy looking. And my dandruff is nearly gone already! The smell is incredible too. I cannot wait to see how well this works long term! A few weeks later: I am SOLD. Every time I wash my hair, it looks and feels better. My hair is the softest it has EVER been. I have already made two additional orders for Viori products through their site, as they have many other products there that are not on Amazon. I still have at least a months worth of the original Shampoo and Conditioner bars I purchased here. They seriously last forever. I tried a different brand before and they did not last this long. I genuinely have never been more impressed by a shampoo and conditioner.

Edit sept 2025- it has been over a year and a half and my hair is thicker and i can go easily 4-5 days between washes. Having tried their 3 main scents, i can say without a doubt that HIDDEN WATERFALL works best on my hair. It soaps the best and conditions the best. I watched their website and ordered a couple bar sets when they had a good sale and it worked out to less than on here. I picked up the bamboo soap holder too. I hate wasting cash on products that don't work but this shampoo/conditioner bar set really blew me away. I keep buying them on sale (~20$Cdn on sale). I wash my hair less frequently. I opened a box in July and Im still using the same set (i wash my hair every 3 to 4 days). There is no heavy weighted conditioner feeling after. It soaps up nicely. My hair feels very clean and smells so nice. I have zero complaints about this product. I doubt I'll use liquid soap for my hair again.

Oh, this shampoo and conditioner! I have ‘Irish’ hair, and all my life I’ve battled frizz trying to make my hair stay curly. This is amazing and leaves my hair smelling musky-sweet, curly, soft and frizz-free! If you’re a curly girl that has thick frizzy hair this is what you’ve been waiting for!

After shampooing my hair has never felt cleaner, squeaky clean. The conditioner is very nice but it almost feels like a residue remains after rinsing and drying

I've already used a set of this shampoo bars and it works great, my hair feels very fresh and silky, not dried my scalp. This is my second purchase of these soap bars. I like them.

These shampoo and conditioner bars are my favourite. I have found such a difference in the overall appearance and feel of my hair. I have super fine hair which it’s really hard to keep it from looking greasy, even if I just washed it within the last 24 hours. I also found myself using a ton of dry shampoo in between washes, even if it was a day. Since I’ve switched to this bar and conditioner, I have cut down the use of my dry shampoo easily by 50% and my hair goes much longer between washes without looking greasy. It feels SO MUCH healthier overall and I get a ton of compliments on how healthy it looks and feels. I chemically treat/bleach my hair blonde and have for years so I’m pretty used to having dry brittle, broken hair, but since I’ve been using this combo my hair has become so much nicer! And longer! I love these shampoo and conditioner bars and definitely recommend!
