Hello! Note that the rated power of this strip light is about 2W per foot, and the measured power of 24ft is about 40W. So the total power for 48ft is about 80W. You should be using a 24V power supply with an output of 90W or higher. So a 24V 5A (120W) power supply to drive 48ft COB LED strip is no problem at all! On the contrary, when the output of the 24V power supply you use is lower than the total power of the light strip (80W), the power supply will be overheated or overloaded, causing the power supply to burn out.
