A: I have a brush which I use to clean the chopper.  Easy to take apart, it has saved me so much labor that I bought another one to have on hand.  Great purchase!

**Q: How to dry inside the lid? Or instead, how do you wash the lid without getting water inside?**
A: Hello, dear,
Turn the pull line down in the direction where the hole is, then pull the pull line and the water will come out of the hole.
Washing tips:
1, Do not leave the lid completely submerged in water or wash it in the dishwasher.
2, Clean the lid under running water, with the pull line facing up and out of contact with the water. This will prevent water from entering the lid.

**Q: Can water get trapped in the lid of the 1.8L, hand crank model when washing? This has led to mold problems with previous purchases.**
A: Not really sure but I would assume it will, I have been very careful to NOT submerge the lid part just because of that fear myself.....and my model is the .5L model

This thing is crazy! Works like a real blender and the blades are SHARP! Beware of this when handling and cleaning the blades. I accidentally cut my finger when washing it by hand. It's a simple device to use. Put what you want inside, close and tighten the lid while matching the blade guide with the top and pull the pull string until your hearts content. The more you pull the smaller the pieces will be. I used it to chop up some spam and mixed in some eggs. With all of this said you still need to be mindful as to what you put inside. The softer the food you put in the easier it will shop. Things such as carrots may be a bit more challenging to cut up, so you may want to cut them into small pieces before putting them in the blender. Also don't pull the string all the way out to its max length as this can damage the cord pulling mechanism.
