I use only about two tablespoons of the Chicory and do the whole pot in the coffee maker. About a third as much chicory as I use coffee. You will have to experiment yourself on how much to use in the french press just remember the chicory is stronger. **Q: is the information correct that one pound only makes 3 to 3 1/2 cups?** A: Hello. There are 3-3.5 cups of chicory root in a one pound bag. To make a cup to drink you need approximately 1-2 tablespoons of chicory root (depending on the taste you desire).
