If done properly, a retrofit or an alteration you do in your car will look OEM, keeping things neat and good looking.I know hardly ever someone will look behind the door panels or your wires harness, but if you are a perfectionist, and wants peace of mind to make a retrofit and you want it to looks it's best, inside and out, this cheap tape will do it.The adhesion is great and it's not flimsy, it has some strength to it.I did retrofit puddle lights and emergency lights on my Audi, I got some more stuff to plug the wires directly to the OEM plugs and harness and enabled in the car computer, and used the tape to add the new wires to the OEM harness, and it looks amazing. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ So Far so Good. *by W***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 19, 2017* I got this as an experimental alternative to 3Ms friction tape. Haven't used it much yet, bet what little I have used it for I like it. It seems similar to standard friction tape in tensile strength, workability and adhesiveness.It differs in that it is not as thick, thus wraps are not as bulky and edges are not as readily frayed. It has a slight elasticity and therefore lays flatter. Finally, it is not sticky or tacky like standard friction tape on the outside and therefore using as grip tape can be better or worse depending on the application and you preference. With two hands, you can tear off the section the tape for use (instead of having to carry a razor blade on you like with electrical tape). Be warned, it does not stretch as well as electrical tape. It has a very finished and attractive appearance relative to electrical tape, in my opinion.
