Anyone know the country of origin for this tuna?  I don't buy anything from China/Thailand/Asia, so I need to know.  Thanks!,

Bumble Bee Foods, is a former American company that produces canned tuna, salmon, other seafoods, and chicken. The company is headquartered in San Diego, California, United States. The brand is marketed as Clover Leaf in Canada. It is now owned by the British private equity firm Lion Capital. However, because BB Tuna does NOT make efforts (or very little effort) to keep dolphins out of their nets (which will kill these beautiful animals-they actually drown as they cannot reach the surface to breath) I will no longer purchase their brand.. I buy only Starkist, which though owned by a South Korean company is still caught and then canned here in America (in Pittsburgh).. Hope that answers your question..

There's no way to know until you get it. You can expect/demand it be fresh and not nearing its "best by" date but there's no one in the warehouse picking tuna packets off the shelf reading your question.

The date varies from packet to packet, batch to batch and no doubt there are different batches sitting in the warehouse.

Why does it say $12 on the ad sent to me in my email? Which is it?

The price on this item fluctuates often. It was probably $12 when the ad was sent to you. Just add this to your cart, then go to your cart.  Click on "save for later". The tuna will show up below the actual cart contents.Each time you click on your "cart", Amazon will show you any price changes on your saved items, both lower and higher.The tuna cycles in price, but should be $12 in a month or so again.  Grab some when you see it for $12. It's worth it.  Not worth the super high prices, but fair at $12.

If there were an apocalypse, would these last as long as canned goods? I know this is outlandish but it's 2023 and I'm prepping. Lol.
