Thick Memory Foam & Gel Seat Cushion, 18"X16"X4" Large Chair Cushion for Wheelchair Mobility Scooters, with Non-Slip Bottom and Carry Handle (Black)

I purchased this for my wife's wheelchair. She is only 4 foot 11 and weighs 86 lbs. Her wheelchair is the 18 inches wide blue Drive Wheelchair sold here on Amazon. The cushion is thick and fits nicely into the seat of the chair. It would not fill the entire seat area of a larger wheelchair. As I said, it is thick and has those typical gel cushion properties. It provides more comfort than the canvas seat of the chair alone. This is nice for longer periods of time sitting in the chair. The covering is a nice color of blue and seems to be pretty heavy duty. I think it will wear well. The cushion has a strap across the back for taking it out of the chair and to carry it. The strap is not a real necessity, but it is a nice addition. The only thing I don't like is the chair cannot be folded up with the cushion in it. This is just a reality and has nothing to do with the cushion itself. But it is something to be aware of. Every time you load or unload your chair into a vehicle, you will have to contend with removing the cushion, storing it somewhere, and then reinstalling it when you take the chair out of the vehicle. I think this is a quality product and I do recommend it.

I needed added height from the seat to the foot rests on my transport chair. Without this cushion my transport chair is unusable. I've been unable to find a wheelchair with adequate seat to floor height "23.5"). This cushion is firm and adds a little less than 4" space between the seat and foot rests. It allows me to sit comfortably for prolonged office visits.It is attractive and seems to be well made. I've used it for less than a month, but I've spent 8 to 10 hours at a time in the chair so feel confident in recommending this highly.

Comfy cushion, quality product

I wish it was a little firmer for myself but it is comfortable. Cover is easy to remove and clean. Have been using for a few months now and haven't notice any collapses in the foam it's holding it's shape and is used daily for hours at a time

Thick and Comfortably. Has hold it sharp for months w daily use. and I like the handle. It makes it easier to handle w arthritis

We bought a combination rollator/wheelchair. The wheelchair leg supports are not adjustable; we realized that adding a thicker cushion would have the effect of making more legroom (as well as increase sitting comfort). [This was the Wheellator brand power walker. It fits great.] This 4" thick cushion works beautifully. It looks good, seems very well made, and is very comfortable to sit on. (Our cats like it, too!) Would recommend this also as an extra cushion for a work chair, if you are forced to sit for long periods.

This cushion is hard as a board. For some people it might be suitable; but for people who are thin and do not have any padding on their rear end. It is way too hard and not comfortable.

Let’s understand first what we are dealing with… my family member is 6’2” and is a paraplegic depending on a wheelchair for mobility. Wheelchairs (in our budget) are not designed and manufactured for those taller than traditional heights. While some have MINOR wheel adjustments- it isn’t enough. This allows us to increase wheelchair seat HEIGHT for longer legs! We have two wheelchairs and felt life would be easier with a third cushion. It is firm, the cover can be removed for laundering, and appears to be a decent value for my bougie budget.
