Max voltage?
30a: 600mv/a per description... v/2+30*.6= 20.5v! is that what this outputs?? other ones suspect too....
can this device be connected in a 120/240 volt ac citcuit?
Which current rating is this product? the title and product description don't match. one says 20a (chip: acs712elc-20a ) and the other says 30a .

These work perfectly as advertised and are very well priced. Be aware that because these are analog sensors, you will probably want to use an averaging For loop in your code to use these with, otherwise your values are going to be jumpy. Look up 'ACS712 code' on Google and you will find many Arduino sketches available (I'm using parts from Elecrow's website). My main annoyance is that these do not have any obvious way of screw-mounting, which is important as any connected wires could be taking up to 20 amps- meaning something like 12 gauge wire is used, thick and heavy to impose quite a load on the board. There are other versions that do come with screw mounting holes, or you can (very delicately and carefully) drill your own on either side of the chip.

Good current sensor

Great current sensors.

One damaged, but the rest are great!

One of the items came broken, but the other 4 do what they are supposed to do.

Screw Down Terminals are Tiny

Not designed for the rated amperage. Screw down terminals are tiny, they won't even allow a 18 AWG solid core wire.

Works as described

I purchased these to use on my college senior project to read dc current of motors on a robot. They are working great so far hooked up to an Arduino and displaying the results on an OLED display.

Pain in the neck to work with...

A powerful stabilizer algorithm is needed as the numbers jump all over the place, just as sloppy measuring DC as well as AC.Mfr should make a board-only version or versions with 4 units per board, NO screw terminals or DIP pins, let the DIY work that part out.

Does not measure AC current without extra work.

Came as advertised with no damage, the items work as they are supposed to with the exception that they DO NOT measure AC current without either programming a sketch to calculate RMS voltage or an op amp/ RC (resistor/capacitor) circuit to rectify and amplify the signal going into the Arduino. No matter how much AC current you put through it, the output is about .5VDC. Works well for DC current. I got the 30 amp version to build an automated dust collection system for a woodshop and had to stop and order some op amps and various other parts to get them to work with AC. In the end they work well with the additional circuitry. Search the internet for "ACS712 AC current" and there are several solutions available.

Works Great! Even when reversing polarity for motors.

Works Great! I use them to monitor the current of the motors of the stabilizers on my travel trailer so my controller knows when to stop when the current draw increases when fully extended or retracted. Voltage output adjusts above and below a center value (about 2v) based on positive or negative current, so you know how much current is being drawn and what direction the motor is turning at the same time.
