These days with so many people vying for customers - and price being a major concern - some companies sell 3rd rate products so they'll get customers. That often leads to people building inferior products which are a real pain - and give expensive damage - to use. I wanted to use Deans connectors to standardize my RC power needs. I bought this brand in a small quantity instead of buying a large enough number to allow me to standardize. I bought XT 60s because XT60 connectors had fewer bad reviews than the Deans connectors. I truly believe the bad reviews were the result of unscrupulous sellers making counterfeit Deans connectors. That's a sad commentary on today's world.All that complaining done - this brand of Deans connectors is easy to connect and disconnect. In fact, they are easy enough to put together and take apart that I wonder if they'll get hot in high amperage use. I hasten to add that I'm just starting my involvement with the RC hobby and I've had so little experience using Deans connectors that I don't know how firmly they should connect. I'll use the few Deans connectors in the package to make a low current demand adapter. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So much better than the knockoffs *by B***H on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on August 17, 2021* Sometimes off brand is fine to save a few pennies, but not with these. Between the fiberglass impregnated plastic and high quality plating, these connectors are top notch for high current applications. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best general purpose connector *by J***K on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on July 28, 2014* Usually I will buy China RC stuff but these are the one thing it is not worth skimping on. Sure, at $4/pair they are a little expensive but the fiber filled heat resistant nylon, quality metals, and snug fit make them worth it. The cheaper "10 for a dollar" ones are made from straight nylon and have melted while being soldered and have trouble with sparking.Soldering these can be a bit of a challenge. I connect the pair together and have a hole drilled in a wood block specifically for deans connectors. The trick to getting a solid connection to the wire is to tin the connector and wire separately, then solder them together. If you place bare wire against the connector then try to solder it like that, you'll just make a mess at best.
