Q: What are the internal dimensions of this storage box please?

About a millimetre less than the outer dimensions. This is not made of very thick material. Frankly I just use it for storing coal in the garden. It is strong enough for that.

Q: Is this strong enough to use as a seat/storage

Whilst I recommend this storage box, good solid clip and solid handle and easy to move. it is not suitable as a seat/storage. Its clearly not designed for that use.
