Q: Is the teal colored box an option right now?

Not sure if the teal colored box is still an option right now, but mine is that color. It’s a very soft powdery teal color. At the time I placed my order, the smaller box was the teal color. Btw it is very sturdy. FYI... The box with more pie weights looked to me to be rather a powdery light peach-adobe brown color. Hope this helps!

Q: Are there enough weights to hold up the sides of the pie crust?

In a large diameter pie plate/tin (9") on the bottom, the balls go halfway up the sides when placed in a single flat layer. They go up further on a 7" or 8" bottom diameter pie plate/tin, but there aren't so many balls that you completely fill the volume of the crust. You have to stack the balls up on the sides, or put the balls on foil in the bottom. It seems that even if you had a full volume of balls, it would be too much weight on the crust.

Q: How many do you need for 2 pies?

If you bake at the same time 2 packages of pie weights.

Q: What does the white tab do on the lid?

The round white circle on the lid is soft plastic that can be removed, but I think it's just decorative. It's hard to reinsert it so I don't think it covers a vent hole.
